I would like to source out a male and female plug, do a wiring modification... and test a couple of things. I'm not desparate enough to start cutting my wires.

I do, but just wondering wat your thought was. :) I'm wondering if there are any side effects to the BCM long term.

OH finally uploaded the Hypertech programmer, and put on my summer tires, 305/30/19 in the rear and 245/40/19 front

Yes, that's why I would like a 91 octane map. My little town has 1 station with 94, if I need gas while out of town, well, then I'm hunting for gas... No bueno.

Yeah, the owners manual states 91 octane. I just wasn't thinking when I took my car in for Uprev. No big deal though, I'll run this tank out, put in some 91, do some data logging and get a modified tune. Then I'll have a 94 and 91 map

Hope you all are having a great one! :hello:

We love that place! Unfortunately we cannot eat there year-round. During the summer it's just too damn hot! :)

That's why I'm trying to source out a make and female connector. Then I can install my own wires and play. I'm really interested in seeing what happens when you cut power to the unit while in the unlocked state. The BCM is looking for signals from at least two of the wires... Not sure how it would play out. fritz says it's ok, but it's something I would need to do for myself. I'm not ready to hack up my wiring yet...

Any thoughts of where I could source out the plug ends? A male plug at the very least would work too. Maybe there is a wrecked Z somewhere that I could get the existing plug from? I doubt I'll find one around here, they are not very common.

Bottom line, let's get a plug and take it to the next step.

Indeed. Hummmmm. Not sure where we could source the male connector.. its a PCB mount type too so not sure how clean one can make the harness unless one makes a PCB for it?
