"The Nismo's suspension is tuned for a firmer ride and sharper handling. Compared to a standard 370Z Coupe, front spring rates have been dialed up 15 percent, rear spring rates 10 percent, front stabilizer bar rate upped 15 percent, and the rear stabilizer bar is 50 percent stiffer. The roll stiffness rate has been increased by 15 percent and front and rear damping factors have been increased by 40 percent and 140 percent, respectively."

A lot more to consider ... That's why the NISMO is worth it's extra money though.

According to Inside Line, the Nismo is a lesser performer.

IL Track Tested: 2009 Nissan Nismo 370Z vs. 2009 Nissan 370Z Touring

It's looks vs winning.

Yea, and ive seen numerous articles saying it has better times... Those vary...

Sounds like this article used a car not broken in, which is common to do...

I looked for one article before I bought the car, but could not find it. I belief you that there been an article since, could you please post it. I struggled to find the article I'd read before, and still had to have somebody send me the link I posted.

Well, here are 2 articles testing a nismo and non nismo and seperately you can see it shows the nismo being quicker...

Nismo 4.6 0-60

http://www.motortrend.com/roadtests/...o_370z_review/

This shows the non nismo at 4.7...

http://www.motortrend.com/roadtests/...0z_first_test/

ill find some more when i have time, because from what ive read, most show them as being about the same...

There arent too many articles actually comparing the 2, but if you look for the times separately, you will see that a majority of them list them at just about the same, 0 - 60 typically at 4.6 - 4.8...

Yes to 0-60, but it is the slalom times that I'm focused on. Skid Pad too.
What does all the Nismo stiffness accomplish? Why suffer through something that does not go faster around turns?

Well, i dont think basing everything off of one article is smart... im sure you you search you can find conflicting reports...

For example, this one shows it beats out the standard 370z...

http://www.roadandtrack.com/tests/co...san-nismo-370z

But like I said, reports are reports and will vary...
