I was in a similiar situation, and I found that I had to make sure that the cover and car were both meticulously clean otherwise it would scratch the car.

I was in a similiar situation, and I found that I had to make sure that the cover and car were both meticulously clean otherwise it would scratch the car. Granted this was on a Fierro GT at the time, and the paint sucked. YMMV
