fill my Z's tank, and i can feel way better power than 89 octane. Occasionally, i put

Lucas octane booster with premium gas(94), which it might be raise the octane number

eventhough it's 100% stock. Just opinion
Dealers are BS,,, I caught them going to put in oil from a barrel in my Z on an oil change, Put a quick stop to that. I am glad I always hang around when someone it messing with my Z

This will require a bit more explanation... But

If you are running MBT timing and have margin before you are knock limited, then you can safely run a lower octane fuel. However, this may be easy at light loads but at higher loads (and especially at low speed) knock will occur. Once your knock sensors detect it, timing will be retarded and engine efficiency will be reduced. All in an effort to save your engine.

You paid how much for your Z and you're worried about a couple of $$ per tank?

It's always fun to see a four year old argument get brought back to life....

I had a VQ in my '08 Altima and always ran it on premium. Will be doing the same for the Z too. The difference in only about $4-5 per fill up which shouldn't break the bank considering the price tag of the Z...
