Its just bias on both sides. All imports are dumb. All leaf springs suck. All V8's with push rods is crappy technology.

The one I hate the most? Horsepower per liter. Especially when Civics are talking about it with 1.6L motors...

How about the whole lightweight thing, just as annoying. the rx8 guys are the same way, of course they shut up real fast when the Corvette beat it by 10 sec a lap. Aftet he lost, he kept going on and on about the 1.3 liter

I got pay-off for my Z06 1 year after buying it and I only paid TT&L. I kept the miles at the recommended (by the local club) to <4K/year. Maybe something to it?

Now granted, I did pay MSRP for my 370Z, but it was so rare I would have, anyway, as they sell before they even hit the shore it seems.

Hey, at least I had both cars and have some real world data. :ughdance: Let me know how bad the leaf springs or OHV engines are working when you get one.

I dont get all the import/domestic hating. You get the same BS on the Corvette forums too (some are borderline racists) . is there no such thing as respectfully disagree on something?

Unless there is a "Car Guy" forum, it's not possible. Fanboys are fanboys.

cossie1600 03-12-2012 10:39 AM

True, just look at the Nascar comments and see how guys are arguing over ford and Chevy and toyota

m4a1mustang 03-12-2012 10:42 AM

That's different though. That's more like sporting rivalry. Ferrari vs. McLaren. Ford vs. Chevy.

It's not like "ZOMG my car is SOOO much better than EVERY OTHER COMPETING CAR fanboyyyyy."

Fair enough, but the over obseasive brand loyalty is a little creepy
