It's almost as if this design should have been out first, and THEN the fangs

Meh...I don't really like it but I would like to see it in person.
I have a '11 SP. If I didn't have one and after seeing this, I would still go for the '09-'12 than this '13. I prefer the front angry catfish or fangs look; this '13 kind of softens it down and I am not in love with the placement of the DRL LEDs. The SP wheels look weird too IMO, kinda sprial looking instead of the aggressive angular look. I voted "Don't like it." Especially they did not bump up some HP and the '12 already weights 13lbs more than '11. How much more weight will '13 add on? |

I knew it. Some of the medical from Cali made its way to Japan. That is the only explanation for this design.
It really seems like they are just trying to ring the last little bit of money out of the 370z while they are cooking up a new design. I love the 370z, it is sexy just like the 240z was. If I was buying a z tomorrow, I would simply buy a used 2009 with low miles for 24,000. Throw on an oil cooler, and call it a day. There is no reason to waste thousands of dollars, months of my life spent working, for what? nothing really. Nissan let me down big time on this one. |
No shots of the ***?
|
its almost like nissan took a step back in modding the exterior, the front end kind of resembles the 350z, if you notice the LED lights almost look the same as the reflector that was on the front end of the 350z, not that the 350 was a bad looking car but still.
|
From my view, there are no improvements compared to earlier models. The styling= a less edgy look.
|
I dig the red calipers... :( i wish mine were red T_T
|
Glad i ordered my 2012 when i did. I waited for the 370z because everything i wanted in a Z was done, the redesign of the 370z is not for me.:happydance:

The door handles look AMAZING! I am going to take a sledge hammer to my hideous 2011, then dump it in a water filled rock quarry, claim the insurance money and run out and buy the 2013.

Pics of cars NEVER look as good as real life. I'm not sure why, but they don't. |

Ooo... that Nissan "Joke" is amazingly fugly.
|
I dont like the front end they make it look less agressive and i do like the brake calipers and the new guage cluster. But those rays are softened and feminine imho.

I like it but I definitely want to see some more pictures. I wonder if I could open those turn signals up and black them out? I could really go for the front bumber then.

The color is awesome, the wheels are nice but not in combination with the 370. Those are wheels I'd expect to see on a more luxury-oriented car. The current Sport Rays are aggressive looking because of their straight lines. I'm not a huge fan of the lights on the bumper or the absence of the fangs. It almost seems like Nissan was trying to retreat to the Z33's styling in that area. Red calipers are a nice touch with that particular body color. The new look of the fuel gauge doesn't really matter to me, because I never had a problem with the current one. It is still an awesome looking car though. Anxious to see the new Blue I am reading about.

so it looks like nissan will sell 9 units in 2013. :icon17:

As long as I can knock out the front blinkers and use them as a brake cooling duct I cool with it.:icon17: Just kidding looks cool make me feel like we all just became members of an exclusive club 370z 2009-2012

They should take some notes from the Amuse bodykit imo.
Instead of making the car sportier, they made it more touring. |
I don't like the new front end, also not too crazy about the new sport wheels though im sure they will grow on me. But I love the fix on the instrument cluster.
Does anyone know what the new non-sport wheels will look like? Any pics? |
I don't like the front either. I'm happy with my 09 :)

I like that the fuel gauge is black now, and the fact that the rear fog light cover now serves some function is nice.
Not too sure on the front bumper. The LED's look out of place, but at least there are lines on the bumper that kinda flow with them. I'm disappointed that Nissan didn't integrate DRL's into the headlight housings though. I find that look a lot better than having random lights popping out of the bumper. Also, never thought I'd say this, but the new bumper makes me realize how much personality the fangs added to the car. Even though the 2013's shape is a little more aggressive, with the 350z style grille, it also manages to look blander than 09-12 Z's. BTW, The new wheels now look a lot more like an extra swirly version of the lexus IS250's wheels http://ahondarim.com/images/18669%20...heel%20rim.jpg |
Is there any reason Nissan would want to attract older buyers to this car? Like Amuse370z said, they've changed the looks to appeal to a different group...
|
It took 24 hours, but it has grown on me. I would want the base though. Not a fan of the new wheels and red calipers. I think it might look pretty good in the gun metallic color.
