Last fall, i was cruising thru the local shopping area and saw a newer viper coming towards me the other way. we were both going no more than 5mph. when he rolls up beside me he looks over and goes "man that is a sweet car." i of course gave him a compliment to the same effect.

coming from a viper owner thats very satisfying

Also, me and tower were out cruising around a little while back and an suv was stopped beside us at a light ( i have my window cracked). i could see 2 girls hangin out the passenger window, probably about 12 years old, and i could hear them yelling; "woooahh. i want the silver one!". "No I like the black one!"

Nothing is better than seeing kids oooh and ahh over the car. I mean after all, isn't that why we all bought the cars in the first place. to satisfy that little kid inside us??

to be honest, i havent ever gotten any negative feedback about my car

True, when a little kid gives me a thumbs up it just reminds me of being a kid again. It's worth more to me than some random mall chick giving me approval.

I agree.

I live in a nice condo building right on the water in an area that used to be known as really ghetto in the past, but now more fancy restaurants, new condo's, town houses etc are coming in and older buildings torn down (gentrification I guess)

Anywho, to cut down to my street, I cut through 2 blocks of more of the "sketchier" part of town lol and there are always kids playing ball hockey, or bball in the street...

These kids always give me the thumbs up, yell out, chase my car for a block...its awesome...so I give them a revv or thumbs up and they love it

To put it another way, the little kid inside your heart would have kicked your *** for having the means and not buying this car. That's how I feel.

I'll be 48 this month, and I'm almost kicking myself for waiting this long to get my first sports car, but I had other priorities ... family and house. Well, I'm on pace to pay off the house in 3 years, 10 months, and me and Mrs are ready to play. By the way, people are always surprised when I tell them my age. They always think that I'm much younger. My profile pic is current.

Better later than never... I see many of the owners on here are early 20's. I'm 23, but can't afford a Z yet.

* I'd say you look about 41 years old

I just turned 57 last month and the wife and I have been saving for something "cool" for many years. When the people at work first saw the Z they said, "see, I knew you guys were rich". My wife and I both work in the same place. They don't see the 9 and 10 year old cars we have as DD's.

We were very fortunate that we weren't living paycheck to paycheck like most of the people we work with and were able to save a little here and a little there. At this stage in our lives, we finally said this is what we want a screw everyone else.

This car draws sooo much attention both positive (thumbs up from many car enthusiasts & random individuals of all ages, funny stares with mouth wide opened, pretty ladies waving - my lady doesn't mind and finds it funny) & negative (overzealous ricers, unprovoked burnout from mustang a$$holes with small huevos, huge trucks guys with little men syndrome, police officers LOVE to discriminate against this car). The attention has been mostly positive.

In regards to cops, I have to say I'm pleasantly surprised I do not get harrased

I used to get stopped all the time in my Honduh Prelude, followed home etc and I used to blame it on "DWB" hehehe

Since getting married in 2010 driving the wifes 3series or now my Z, no provocation at all, I've even got the "nod" from some cops some times.

I wonder what's the people's reaction if they saw a 19 years old came out from the Z lol

Z's are pretty uncommon in Wisconsin. I live in the Southeastern part of the state and rarely see any Z, let alone a 370. People mostly react to it in a positive way. Head nods, thumbs up, the "is that a Porsche question" or "what is that?", and most often... is that thing stock? I don't spend much time worrying about what people think, but the massive amount of feedback/reaction is something I did not expect when I got the Z. I have to admit... it is fun
I am an enthusiast and can appreciate most vehicles (even mustangs & camaros, lol), but the uniqueness of the Z really gives it an exciting edge.

I meantioned earlier in this thread that I look fairly young (I'm 27 BTW) and I get the look your talking about all the time. Wish I could show you it, but I'll try to explain it:

It's a little like with a little of and some of to top it all off!
