Not sure if anyone is interested in 370Z production numbers, but I have some very unofficial stats for those who care.
These are for USDM cars produced until about July 2011. Code:
Table is wide. You may be able to scroll over ---> Update: You can now perform your own queries using a tool I created: Nissan 370Z Production Statistics Rep is appreciated! :) -Vince |

As far as the low numbers for 2011, I know I had heard that because of the earthquake, tsunami, and nuclear disaster production was affected. Not sure if this is just a load of bs or not but it would explain the lower production.

Yeah, you can see production really dipped in March and April...

Yeah, I remember the salesperson telling me about the shortages when I was shopping for my Z over that summer. It was really hard to locate a Z I wanted let alone a Z anywhere near CT. Most dealerships had very few inventory or none at all, here in CT there was like none. Luckily classic cars in NJ had my baby waiting there for me, so I wasted no time.

1014 40ths but 1017 painted 40th's color.

I just looked and none of those 5 cars have any CARFAX records, so I'm sure these were special purpose vehicles. It'd be kind of cool to own one though. :)
|
where do you get this info from?
|
I was able to extract it from the database dealers use to lookup parts information.

this is cool man iv been looking for infor for a while.

Very interesting unofficial stats

is there any way to do the same thing mustang owners do to make their car sound rare? basically by saying there are only 400 cars with X paint color, Y interior color, Z engine, and J options.
basically see how many cars are equipped exactly as ours? Like i have a 6mt Sport/touring brilliant silver, how many of those are there out there EDIT: not trying to start the mustang drivers are stupid for doing this, but it seems like every time i talk to a 60's or 70's mustang owner they always go on some long big shpeel about why their base 6 cyl, white, automatic mustang is rare.... |

Seriously why is it that we basically have to "steal" this info. You would think that Nissan would put these numbers out there where we can easily get them. I mean seriously when you're trying to sell a "limited production" car (Nismo) you should be telling the customer their car is only 1 of XXX.
