Great tool - thanks!

Always wondered what my 40th build number was! Records say mine was #2 - anybody know where #1 is?

ParkStr8 03-25-2014 11:15 AM

I love this too. Only 46 exactly like mine. People outside the forum always give Z's shite - but they are hands down a great value and are not your everyday sports car.

Let's see - do I want a car that there are only 45 others like mine, or car that had 175,000+ made? HHHMMM....let me think on that.

Vince 04-14-2014 10:41 PM

For anyone who's interested... I updated the production numbers to include cars through 07/2013.

axmea? 04-15-2014 12:49 AM

Where do you get all these numbers? I would think it is a guarded secret or proprietary info. I must admit, I played with it and had fun with the unofficial info.

ParkStr8 04-15-2014 09:21 AM

I'm bummed. Now there are 78 just like mine, verus the original 46. Now it feels a little less special.

Any way to make this a sticky? This seems like something a lot of people would like to know. It's awesome!

Also - a long shot, but is there any way to add the color of the soft top to the search for roadsters?

Thanks
James

Only 129 others in North America spec'd out like mine...Cool, Thx.

Houston Z33 12-28-2014 07:15 AM

Any way to find out the DAY it was built on, Not just the month/year?

Just curious like all the other 40th owners.

KORRUPT 12-28-2014 08:54 AM

Talk about exclusive, I am 1 of 14 in North America. I brought it up from the U.S because they didn't make the colour combo in Canada.

project_zed 12-28-2014 05:34 PM

I'm also one of 14 in the country.

mishuko 12-28-2014 05:40 PM

I guess they didn't do too many touring + sports in Canada...

ZETIRED 06-10-2016 10:25 PM

Production numbers

Love the tool, very nice. Found my Z roadster with only 207 produced with that particular color combination. Black Cherry, Burgundy Top, Wine interior, GT. with all packages.

mishuko 08-22-2016 07:50 AM

was wondering if you were still around to update to the more recent years?

ZETIRED 08-25-2016 06:53 PM

re:production look-up tool

I really like the look-up feature, but the Vin entry doesn't seem to work.
Thanks

Hmmm.. VIN not found. Used other lookup and states I'm 1 of 2 2014 PW Roadster Touring 7AT, gray interior with no NAV...

Here are sales figures. It doesnt break down the options but still worth posting I think. GOOD CAR BAD CAR: Nissan 370Z Sales Figures

I'm surprised how low the Canadian sales figures are. You don't see too many around, but they are certainly out there on the road. Ones the dealers get don't exactly sit around on the lot either.

When I got mine the dealer had just got three in,and was the only dealer around that had any in inventory. I got to pick between black, white and red. I took black, the white sold by the next morning and the red by the end of the week.

Either way, three-digit-sales country wide is surprisingly low!

mishuko 08-29-2016 01:50 PM

but sales technically are picking up for the Z in Canada in %... lol sort of insignificant in terms of #'s though.

Great work!!!
Definitely worth posting!
Can't believe how many 350z's were produced, 36000 in 03 ...WOW!
And how the numbers have fallen off for the 370 which I think is a much better looking Z.

TreeSemdyZee 08-30-2016 10:37 PM

Anyone happen to notice that they have everything titled 370z?

There's some fine print at the bottom that states it includes the 370's predecessor the 350

SupraKirk 08-11-2017 10:49 PM

Wow I knew my midnight blue was decently rare but I had no idea there are only 334 of them. I'm 1 of 6 with my exact specs. Always loved threads like this. Is it going to be updated again anytime soon?

ltullos 01-06-2018 09:51 AM

From Jan 2018 Jan R&T article "The Best Cars Nobody Bought in 2017", 370Z was #9 of 14 with only 4614 sold. And the most depressing note of the story was that there were 10 Kia Souls sold for every Miata.

For me, the fewer sold makes my car more exclusive. If I wanted a popular car, a Mustang or Camaro would be in my garage.

Airwilf 01-06-2018 09:00 PM

When I bought my 2018 Solid Red Touring Sport Coupe in June, it was only 1 of 2 TS Coupes in Canada at the time. Haven't done a search to see what the count might be at this time. Sounds like a good rainy/snowy day project.:tiphat:

I love your production tool Vince, I confirmed that there were 114 Monterey Blue 370Zs with the sport package and manual transmission

I've searched quite a bit and nowhere have I found any specific sales numbers for later year 370Z's. I've seen 2,384 total for 2019. But I'm wondering about 2019 Nismo's and then manual vs auto. Anyone been able to find anything like this?

Check out goodcarbadcar.net for annual sales numbers.... However, I don't think they break the sales down the way you suggested.

@Vince Great tool you created!

Found out I'm 1 of only 5 in my spec, world wide. Unless I'm reading this wrong, this is awesome news if I ever resale.
