Considering a Z

That's your choice but maybe you should just do some research. Flip through some magazines until you read the article that makes you go, "Aha, that's it."

They both handle about the same, don't think you would notice a difference. Very noticeable difference in the performance area, but the vette is about a second faster. I use my car as a daily driver. I don't care if people use their cars as garage queens, but I buy cars to drive them. That being said, the vette interior just isn't something you want to spend 1.5 hours a day in. Rattles, creaks, and more cheap plastic than you can shake a stick at. The leather, if you want to call it that, is the cheapest, thinnest feeling leather you could ever find. Within two weeks, it had all the wrinkle marks in it; deep ones that eventually start flaking.
They ripped the oversized junk radio out of the tahoe and put it in. And the base vette is 10 grand more than the most expensive Z.

So many people are garage queens with their Vettes that GM has never really had to address the issues for the daily driver. I buy cars to drive them as well. With a few rare exceptions a car is a huge depreciating assett. You might as well enjoy the things.

Maybe, but I don't really want to go G37...I'd like to stay Nissan. I'm sure it's a nicer car, but its probably more $$$ too. If I go into the 40's I'd have to go Corvette. If I can get a WELL equipped Z for 34kish I'd be very happy.

I agree - it really sounds like you want a newer G35 or the G37. And you would be sticking with Nissan - the 350Z and the G35 were born from the same parents... My friend has a '07 G35 and its a tough call between that and the 350/370. Its an amazing performance car - the sports package is really nice on it and I think its more luxurious than the Maxiam and way more importantly its not FWD!

Trust us - you want a G35/37....

I had a g35, and there isn't really a significant difference between a g35 and a 370 as far as the luxury aspect of the car.

I love the way they crash. Most of the high power SUV's I see seem to be upsidedown on the side of the highway.

The 370Z and the Jeep SRT8 are worlds apart, you're just going to have to test drive a 370Z, an Infiniti G37 and a Jeep to see what you really want.

Oh God! My brother has a Grand SRT-8. Holy cow. That thing is an absolute monster. It's actually built really well, and he has not had any problems with his. Oh, I guess his Brembo brakes make some noise, but I think he solved that with new, cheaper pads. It's also not good on gas, but it's really comfy, roomy, built well, and has a great stereo.

He laughs at me in my Z as he goes FLYING past me. I can't believe that truck, if that's what you want to call it. He is considering the new one, if it ever comes out. Remember that Max. There's a new Grand Cherokee coming out on the Mercedes M chassis... but more goodies. Jeep is the only good thing going for Chrysler. (He also just bought a '09 Wrangler, and I have to say, I really like that thing too! With it's soft top, it's actually way quiter than our Z's!) Just my opinion. Check out the SRT too. I really like that truck.
The Infiniti FX50, is not quite as fast, but it's way more expensive. I have an '09 FX35, and love it, but it's not a beast like that SRT. Way more luxurious and better on gas. By the way, I really don't think the ol' SRT-8 is much of a rollover car. It's pretty squatty.

On the stock tires, horrible. With snow tires, manageable.

I'd give up the back seats as long as the rest of the car (I'd be buying the Touring version with Sport/Nav) is on par with Maxima.
Mate, come on really.!!

What I am starting to wonder is what made you go for the Max. Everything you are considering now is a world of difference from a Maxima.
