I think LED bulbs for the parking lights and rear license plate lights are a good cheap mod as well. I think you can get the bulbs for like $10-20 bucks and it only takes a couple mins to put them in.

I'm curious about the rear license plate and parking light LED bulb quality and longevity. How long have you had them, did you have any issue with them...and can you provide a link for where you purchased?

I've only had them for like a month now and got them as a gift from a friend. I'm not sure where he got them from, but no issues so far.

I ordered mine from here for like $6.00. It took a couple of weeks for delivery, but it was very inexpensive. I've had them installed for nearly 2 months now...no issues.

I can't speak directly to the ones linked in these posts, but I can say that I had LED bulbs in my last two Vettes from a different vendor for several years w/ no problems at all! Great improvement over the dim yellowish light of the OEM bulbs.

Once I found that the Vette and Z uses same bulb over the license plates, I just ordered another set from the vendor I used previously on the Corvette Forum.
