3M di noc cf wrapped panels. $20 for a 12" X 48" sheet. TONS left over

got the first one done in about an hour. took a little bit to figure out how to strecth/heat/manipulate the material so you dont have any wrinkles

second one only took me about 45 min

re-installed:

the hardest part was definately wrapping around those tight radius curves at the front of the panel and figuring out what to do with the inset area for the window switch. just ended up trimming a nice line around it. trying to form 1 piece down inside that are was impossible

Looks good. I have some Di-Noc left over from my headlight project, and I was thinking of doing this as well. Looking at how yours came out, I think I will do it this weekend.

I was also thinking about the silver ring around the shifter. Based on the pliability of the Di-Noc, do you think it would work on that?

I tried to put Di Noc on my phone case and failed miserably

It was hard to get it around the curved edges, but probably didn't help that I was using a hair dryer and scissors instead of a heat gun and xacto knife.

lol i was all about the hair dryer on high heat. get it really warm to where it becomes flexible. it took me about 45 min to an hour to do each. take your time and do a small section at a time (i started with the hardest curves first)heated up about 1" and stretched, formed, and dewrinkled. dont get discouraged tho. i messed up on my first attempt and had to peel off and start over. the learning curve on this stuff is quick tho once you figure out how to manipulate it.

i imagine the silver ring around the shifter would be a little tricky but coule be done. i would like to do mine as well. i think i may do part of my engine cover tomorrow (see kenchans album to see what im referring to).

I just gave up on it and decided to go in a different direction with my phone case

Will do! Also I can't do a review on amazon from my phone so I'll have to do it at the house sometime.
