Tax returns are right around the corner. Anyone getting stuff for the Z's

I'm getting new tires and depending on how much money Uncle Sam gives back and how much I have been able to save over the winter I'm getting Swift Springs, Front and Rear camber arms, spacers and possibly sway bars.

Masa 01-11-2012 09:57 AM

Deciding on either a BBK for the Z or a new Plasma HDTV.... haha.

TerribleONE 01-11-2012 09:58 AM

Nice!! ^ brakes or a body kit for me!!

kenchan 01-11-2012 10:01 AM

nothing for me. we only get like a grand or two back anyways so it's going into our kids' funds. :)

ZMan8 01-11-2012 10:05 AM

CBE & Swift Springs most likely

Jasonle 01-11-2012 10:08 AM

Swift springs and money towards rims!

theDreamer 01-11-2012 10:15 AM

Tax return this year goes to my other car, Z has already had enough spent on it for a few months.

b1adesofcha0s 01-11-2012 10:25 AM

Probably won't be getting much money back, but it's all going into savings. I'll probably get something for my Z for my bday next month though

Nismo89 01-11-2012 10:47 AM

money is going towards paying it off! (although that'll be a few years)

GaleForce 01-11-2012 10:49 AM

I won't be getting jack crap back... probably have to pay ~$4000 back unless I dump $6000 in to my Retirement savings... Canada/Ontario, we'll tax the crap out of you till you're dead or until you're living off the system. :shakes head:

ChipsWithDips 01-11-2012 11:19 AM

Yeah same here, I'm gonna probably have to pay a few grand extra, definitely not the time to buy upgrades.

NickBaragona 01-11-2012 11:48 AM

Just bought FI exhaust and LTH, so will use the tax money to pay off credit cards!

alejo 01-11-2012 11:52 AM

Saving money to buy a truck, hopefully a used Titan or Frontier. I can't keep my Z as a DD,i put 20K miles in just one year

ImportConvert 01-11-2012 12:04 PM

Supposedly I am only getting $600 back based on the tax website. That might pay for the gas to go pick up my 370Z when I finally trade, lol

BigT 01-11-2012 12:10 PM

Paying off my insurance policy renewal in February. Might have a little left to get my windows tinted.

Vertigo 01-11-2012 12:14 PM

I'm doing my entire stereo and probably lowering the car with Tein springs. Maybe look into a FI exhaust as well.

I am using the tax return to buy a prostitute, I'm going to have her watch the car while its parked outside :happydance:

red6spd 01-11-2012 01:51 PM

Good to hear most guys are able to have fun with the money. My plan is to have money for my tires all saved up before I get my tax return. Then use the tax money for the other goodies or save it.

I am only getting $12.85 back so about all I can do is order one of those black out gas gauge overlay deals and throw the 35 cents left over in my change jar.

Get like 3-4 gallons of gas? :icon17:

Maybe some LED bulbs? I got mine for free as a gift, but they look great in the rear license plate lights and the parking lights.

Aizen Sosuke 01-11-2012 02:36 PM

I'm not getting much back but whatever it is it's going towards paying off the Z

Hmmm great ideas I had not considered.

+1 to you for giving a poor man additional options he had no idea were within his reach.

You must be planning on selling your Z then in the relatively near future.

:bowrofl:

Haha I know. Why the heck does everyone sell within months of doing a TT kit? I do have plans of getting a slightly used 2012/2013 GTR in roughly 3-4 years though.

So true :icon17:

MrZ 01-11-2012 06:58 PM

I am gonna get my Z1 post maf tubes drop ins headers HFC Performance Y-pipe and maybe AAM short tail depending on how it sounds after everything else is installed

SnooPPP 01-11-2012 07:14 PM

Already splurged and got the rims and lip kits before the tax refund. Now the tax refund is going to go towards paying the car off and credit cards.

Haha I wish I could. If something happened where I'd have the funds for a GTR then yes, I would move on over to a GTR. As of right now I financed $40k and pay $700/mo for the Z, and I can't afford any more right now. My student loan for this semester + tax return should be able to buy a TT kit and maybe even cover the install.

So.... my long term plan is to pay the car off within 4 years and then have a trade in value of ~$15k-20:roflpuke2:, and put this towards a used 2012/2013 GTR which should depreciate like the 2009-2011's did, which can be had for $55k, which means my payments would stay the same lol. BUT! Who knows if I get married/buy a house/make the gf prego/etc...

MC 01-11-2012 07:15 PM

man its been a tradition for me to always blow my return on car parts for like 10 years now... i fully decked out my 03 350Z in nismo stuff over the years with tax returns....but i think the first time im gonna owe this year... like 3K too... sucks very badly

SPOHN 01-11-2012 08:04 PM

Putting my money back for when my tire finally wear. Which still might be awhile.

TheGreatOne 01-11-2012 08:45 PM

I'll probably only get enough back for a tow hook lol.
