But seriously f*** whoever did this to your car bro. I think it is jealousy mixed with shoddy parenting. I know from experience the closer you get to the Mississippi Delta, the more idiots you have to deal with. I have family in Memphis who are just screwed anywhere they go. Im lucky where i live and spend most of my time, but 30mi away(Little Rock) im scared to turn my back on my car. We take my girl's Jetta to places like the mall or to get a drink. Im in for pics if u got any. |
don't blame it on ignorant driviers, blame it on the guy that let his wife out of the kitchen and gave her the car keys :stirthepot:

Ignorant drivers are a whole new ballgame. Unless he has angry ex who is stalking him, Convert is dealing with an ignorant person who prolly doesnt even own a car. |
Great thread idea. Let's talk smack about people who earn less money than us! Next, we can say bad things about people based on their skin color!!
Are you guys serious? I've seen just as many people in nice cars be careless jerks as I've seen people without a car or in crappy cars. Judging someone based on their net worth is a pretty ignorant thing to do. - Matt |

Most definitely being an asshat isn't indicative of any social or economic strata. My buddy who the nicest guy in the world and squarely in the middle class finally saved up enough to buy a Porsche Boxter. He was staying at a JW Marriott somewhere in Texas and parked in their gated underground parking lot. In the morning he came out to find that someone sliced up the convertable top material. He said it was all part of owning a Porsche.
Maybe the vandal that messed with the OP's Z confused it for a Porsche? |
oh damn I feel you bro...even a little ding on my door piss me the fu(k off so much...I really hope your workplace has cameras that caught the bit(h who did such a $hit on your Z. good luck buddy!

Had the same thing happen to me this last summer. I was livid, so I understand how you feel. I too started looking for a used tailight but found that either people wanted similar money for a used light vs. new and that there just wasn't a huge selection of used taillights out there. Probably why people with them were charging so much.
I went through courtesynissan.com. I've used them for years with my 300zx and 280z. they are a nissan dealer in texas that sells factory parts for much cheapter than other dealers. My local dealer wantes near $500 for the light and I believe I got it through courtesy nissan for a little for $300, shipped. Don't remeber the exact cost, have the recipt at home. Point is they were the cheapest place to get it and pretty much the same price as others selling used. Install wasn't bad. The hard part was removing the damn thing while trying not to scratch the pain. You have to lift and pull down at the same time. It's a tight fit so you are trying to tug on the housing and you know that as soon as it goes lose all your strength is just going to have you dragging the housing across the pain. I manged with only the slightest nick on the pain which isn't even visible once the new light was put in. Go to the DYI section and look under the tinted tail lights or rear fog light install or rear camera install. It will have step by step instructions with pictures on how to remove the housing. Took a total of 45min for me but I'd say half that time was spent just trying to be delicate in removal of the housing. |
hummm? the 370Z tails you need to remove the trunk liner and there's a nut you need to remove in order to pull it off the car without any real force.
