UN...beLIEVable

:thumbsdown::mad::shakes head:

so drove my z all weekend as the weather was nice and took her to work monday and tuesday, which I don't like to do as the parking lot is always cramped and its a dirty lot. well when I got home from work yesterday I noticed a chunk of my drivers side brake light broken! It looks like some dbag just ****** with it because if it was hit by another vehicle or something the damage would have been less precise, if you know what I mean.

I'm thinking it either happened in my parking lot at home or at work, but most likely at work. Probably by some retarded loser that doesn't like the car or me or both. WTF is wrong with people???

370Zsteve 01-11-2012 09:32 AM

Sucks! :shakes head:

red6spd 01-11-2012 09:32 AM

Most people have no respect for other peoples property. I found the best way to keep the Z in good shape is to not drive it LOL.

hansoac 01-11-2012 09:33 AM

Sorry to hear that :(
May I suggest a dash and trunk cam?

anyway....did you get a quote for fixing? Or can you do it yourself?

Nate23 01-11-2012 09:37 AM

That really sucks man, sorry to hear that.

370ZilverZ 01-11-2012 09:37 AM

So wrong! Why can't people respect what others work hard to acheive???? Keep your eyes and ears open, I hope you find the DBag!

kenchan 01-11-2012 09:47 AM

 that boils my blood.

is it just the lamp? if so, get your check from insurance, replace the lamp yourself while using the rest of the $$ for fog lamp/rear view camera, dynamat, etc.

Thechidz 01-11-2012 10:16 AM

It's just the lamp and its about a 2 inch strip of plastic that runs along the cusp of it, so only really noticeable from fairly close. It looks like he took a screwdriver to it or something weird almost like he was trying to pop the fixture out and quit when the plastic broke. anyway, I don't wanna make an insurance claim and have my rate go up for something fairly minor. I seriously was thinking about a security camera of some sort also before this happened. Anyway, I'll keep my eye's open for a used fixture and see if I can just replace it myself but I'd imagine they are pretty $$$

GaleForce 01-11-2012 10:50 AM

Just ignorant... this is why i hate people. lol

m4a1mustang 01-11-2012 10:53 AM

Wow that sucks. People these days :shakes head:

BlackZeda 01-11-2012 11:00 AM

I know what is wrong with people but I don't want to break forum rules...

Keying or otherwise damaging another person's property is an act of a total coward.

Z_Girl 01-11-2012 11:02 AM

AWE! that sucks...I hate people! :shakes head: My work parking is super cramped too. We've had 4 people hit eachothers cars in the last year. I get here super early so I can park in a specific spot on the edge of the lot so only one person can park next to me and I don't get surrounded by the zombies. :eekdance:

ImportConvert 01-11-2012 11:22 AM

This is why I feel prone to hate anyone who makes less money than me that I don't personally know. I view them all as potential jealous sabotaging bastards.

I like how people think we've just bought a $50,000 when this car cost no more than a regular Nissan Maxima.

:iagree: and it's not really even making less money, it's about caring less about their own lives and their possesions...people live like zombies and couldn't care less about a ding or scratch. I had a friend who used to park her new car next in a tight spot at work and her driver door was all tore up because she would always smack it on the wall of the next building when she got out?!?!! Kills me.

I used to not understand why neighborhoods had minimum property-value standards, etc. in the nice parts of town. Now I do. It's to keep trash from destroying defenseless property earned by the more successful. Because they can, and they do.

A lot of the time it's hate. Carelessness doesn't know monetary bounds. I know rich people who are careless. I am referring to the trash that says "man, bastard has a newer car. I'm going to key it."

Yeah... that is a whole other kind of *blankity blank*! I think we are prone to being affected by the careless type of people on the normal day to day. Either way, makes me paranoid.

My friend actaully called me high-maintenance the other night because I parked further away than I could have...I was like "deal with it...or you can drive next time" ;)

I do the samething. But nobody would call me high-maintenance. ;) I park miles away because people in general just don't give a crap about themselves, their own belongings, or anyone else's. It's a shame.

I'm scared to park too far away. I don't want to "stand out" for the haters. It's a delicate balance. I definitely see more hate-crime destruction than I do carelessness, though. Unless you count dipshits backing into things.

No **** it is. I'm moving at the end of this year. Crime here is horrible. We are #3 in the nation over-all, and #1 in the nation for murder. #1 or #2 for auto-insurance, #49 for education, #2 for obesity, and #45 or so for life-expectancy.

It's a shitty, shitty state, and I am moving very soon. Just saving up some cash to go. That is part of the trading of the Z06 for the 370Z deal I am into now.

Vertigo 01-11-2012 12:05 PM

Like Travolta said in Pulp Fiction when his Malibu got keyed. "It would be almost worth him doing it just to catch him"

But seriously f*** whoever did this to your car bro. I think it is jealousy mixed with shoddy parenting. I know from experience the closer you get to the Mississippi Delta, the more idiots you have to deal with. I have family in Memphis who are just screwed anywhere they go. Im lucky where i live and spend most of my time, but 30mi away(Little Rock) im scared to turn my back on my car. We take my girl's Jetta to places like the mall or to get a drink.

Im in for pics if u got any.

toxik 01-11-2012 12:14 PM

don't blame it on ignorant driviers, blame it on the guy that let his wife out of the kitchen and gave her the car keys :stirthepot:

Ignorant drivers are a whole new ballgame. Unless he has angry ex who is stalking him, Convert is dealing with an ignorant person who prolly doesnt even own a car.

vividracing 01-11-2012 01:38 PM

Great thread idea. Let's talk smack about people who earn less money than us! Next, we can say bad things about people based on their skin color!!

Are you guys serious? I've seen just as many people in nice cars be careless jerks as I've seen people without a car or in crappy cars. Judging someone based on their net worth is a pretty ignorant thing to do.

agreed. It's more of a mentality thing. everyone at my work makes roughly the same salary with progression for experience etc. so whoever did it is probably just some mental midget with anger management issues :/

No video camera in your work parking lot?

Thats how I caught who dinged my car...
It might be no big deal to him but it sure was a big deal to me!

How do you know they make less money than you do if you don't personally know them ? Besides, the amount of money in a man's wallet is not a true measure of how much of a man he is.
