I have HFCs, but got the resonated one as well as the 18" resonators on my CBE to minimize my noise level and draw less attention to myself. If you don't drive like an ***, though, you should be fine. Test pipes worry me though because of the smell which would be a much easier giveaway that there is something illegal going on under there.
I think your best solution is to just get a GTM supercharger kit. You'll want or run stock cats with that since it will kill HFCs and you'll be way faster than guys like me with just our breathing mods. quieter and faster...DO IT!!!
