I put my Z on jackstands and removed the stock air intake system, cats and exhaust system. I was prepared for the Demon Bolt with WD-40 I sprayed on after I removed the air intake tubes and let it soak while I removed the stock exhaust. I bought a set of grip lock sockets and used an array of 1/2" extentions connected to a 1/2" - 3/4" adapter and 3/4" drive ratchet to make sure I wasn't lacking in torque to remove it. I beat the demon bolt, but seemed to have more trouble with the one below it.

daemon1957, I think a penetrating spray like PB Blaster would be alittle more effective then WD-40 IMO. How long did it take to get the bottom bolt out?

About 10 minutes after I figured out the correct combination of extention lengths, wobblers and universal joints to run down the left side. About 90 minutes all together. Tomorrow I tackle the crank pulley. I don't know for sure where to start, but this is a great way to get to know and learn the ins and outs of your car.

Maybe someone should start a simple mods thread. It'll help us getting our modding fix without blowing the bank for a FI kit, haha.

Ooh I likey! I think that's a good idea. I think a stipulation would be that the suggestion can't be cheesy.

Oh yeah, the mods should be like...less than $200.

Had a pretty good Z day. Did 5 things to the Z today.

1) Took her in for an alignment this morning now that the swift springs have had a chance to settle.

2) Repaired a scratch on the passenger door from a door ding with Dr. Colorchip. It came out pretty good but not perfect. Much better than exposed metal though.

3) Installed LED map light bulbs.

4) Installed a factory "Z" black pearl rear liscense plate frame

5) Installed factory "Z" valve stem caps

A little driving, maintanence, and modding all in one day, a week day none the less.

Royal Purple 5W30 oil change.
Royal Purple Max-Gear 75W-90 fluid change.
Royal Purple Max-Gear 75W-90 Rear Differential fluid change.
All done at 13,700 Miles.

Currently in the shop getting repairs done to it. She was hit twice in a four day period in the exact same spot! First was a hit and run in a parking lot (I was in the establishment at the time). Second time was a few days later where a guy backed up into me from his parking spot. Glad the guy has good insurance, they're paying for everything!

Srenity - Very interested to see you results with Dr. Colorchip. I have a scratch on my passenger door that needs tending to. As well, but I have been hesitant to try any touch up solution. You're right though, anything is better than seeing metal (which I can).
