I had a similar CAI done on my BMW before, the type using heat shield, and it actually works quite well, the height of the shield with the rubber sealing slightly pressing against the hood, so only outside air direct from the duct goes to the intake.

The delivery will take 7 - 10 days, I am looking forward to it.

Four 10's sounds good Spohn. I work 12's everyother weekend is a 36 hour weekend. Luckily this weekend is only 24 hours I have Friday off.

Yah, in my experience MB replacements in laptops are pretty straightforward. It shouldn't take more than 10-15 minutes tops. Good luck!

karotz- get Bridgestone S04's. they stick very well in the wet.

DW's are good, but S04's are better in the wet. i use S04's on my G in the summer. very good, but heavy.

Maybe that's why it doesn't get hydroplaning as easy as the lighter tires.
