naw, ive done plenty of that when i was a kid. i grew up on a farm...well, the first couple of years.. :icon17:

plumber78 01-24-2012 06:08 PM

LOL Well to be honest, that wheelbarrow has only seen service one time and my wife wouldn't be able to push me five feet before putting me face first into the concrete.

mjg 01-24-2012 07:12 PM

Took The Z to get detailed, oil changed, then straight back to the garage :(.

really miss driving the Z, my 98 Subaru legacy isn't quite comparable.

mjg- nice detail. take some snaps in daylight when you get a chance.

i cleaned my salt caked G with SOCW...not bad. :D the rear bumper and lower rockers were slightly stained from the salt/dirt crappage but wasnt as bad i thought. i took my time so it was almost 50min work. the roads are still salty so didn't feel like getting a autowash this week. maybe next week. :)

very nice MJG, love the clean Zs, I take a moment to stare every time after I wash mine, ha

mjg 01-24-2012 09:24 PM

thanks for the comments..if the weather is nice this weekend, I'm going back, taking it out for a photo shoot, and stare for a few hours... and drive it if they actually cleaned up the sand/salt (over one freaking day of snow wow) It cleared up in a day!!

Knio 01-25-2012 05:45 AM

Thanks guys :)

I guess this will actually be my second upgrade.. the first was stoptech slotted rotors & pads after I destroyed the stock brakes on my first track day in November. I managed to hit limp mode, ice mode, fuel starvation, and completely burn out the brakes all in the same day :eekdance:

Today: checked my steering lock. It's rev C so I think I'm ok. Drove hard, because hey, gotta use up these tires before the new ones go on ;)

Good morning everybody! :hello:

It sounds like you're driving the Z the way it was meant to be driven and I applaud you!

I'm curious to know if you are enjoying the track experience with the Z? Is this your first tracked ride, or have you taken anything else out for tire shredding fun?

sounds good. yah, im not ashamed of staring at my car in an empty parking lot. ive had cops and security folks come drive up to check on me if i was okay. ended up the cop also stared at my car for a couple of minutes before he left. :icon17:

It all sounds good. I've never heard of a popcharger but your sways will make a noticeable improvement. I liked my Bridgestones right up until I got the new Michelins, which were even better (more expensive too).

When does your competitive season begin?

kenchan 01-25-2012 09:12 AM

pop chargers are ventury cones. it has inlet in the front and the side of the cone. a unique design and sound.

I think there is a video on Jim Wolf's website (or maybe You Tube) that illustrates the very nice sound his pop chargers make.
