Agreed, but the insurance company will make that call.

since you already have the parts from your current bumper (mounting bracket and all) would it make sense for you to do the bumper swap yourself? save you a day and probably $50 in installation or something.

If I'm paying the deductible, I'm going to let the experts do the work. I really don't want to fool with it anyway (coward!).

lol@ titan lift kit. :icon17:

I could be the first on the block!

So I just finished my wash and she looks :yum: I have a few specks of yellow line paint on my drivers side rocker panel. Noticed it last fall and I do recall having to drive by some fellas line painting shortly before it was originally discovered. Unfortunately it was unavoidable:facepalm: The question I have for you guys is a simple one, IS THERE ANY POSSIBLE WAY TO REMOVE THESE SPECKS?? Im guessing no. Also I got my front end replaced last fall after hitting a deer, or rather a deer hitting me! I got a new bumper and hood and boy is that bumper already chinged up, ugh!

I hate washing my car. Its too intimate. I notice all the little stuff that usually goes undetected.

Ughhh, I feel your pain man! :(

I wonder if a PC with a relatively coarse polishing compound will take those bits of yellow off?

I find that the QD AFTER the wash is where I see all the flaws.

yah, try WD40 and plastic razor or hard squeegee to shear it off. or rubbing alcohol and plastic razor or hard squeegee. if not, try claybar and lube.

also polish and random orbital will work use a semi-mild polish.

then wax afterwards. :)

In all seriousness, I just keep a short running sock in the console for this purpose.
My Miata has a polished stainless knob that would get ridiculous if I parked it with the top down.

Baer383 03-14-2012 08:22 PM

I wired up both of my cooling fans 1 for my oil cooler and 1 for my trans cooler.
