Hey Fire!

All this talk of sway bars is making me want to buy some. I've been pretty set on stillens if I install sways. But you can't really go wrong with any of them. But I can't remember, aren't there some stock parts you should change along with the sways due to eventual failure with aftermarket sways?

Stillens seem like a nice choice!

here is my take for those interested

-Stillen are cheapest and best for a street car with lots of adj.
-Eibach are a great street/autoX (happy medium)
-Hotchkis are more track suited with limited adj. and much stiffer than stock.
-There are also tanabe, progress(sp), and other companies I don't know much about.
-Whitelines cost a bit more, are solid instead of hollow, and have good adj.
whiteline also makes rear end links. Nobody, i think, makes front end links.

I'm looking at sways and i narrowed it down to stillen vs eibach, with whitelines being a potential.

I'm watching shows about ancient civilizations. They interviewed a Mayan calendar reader and he said that the world isn't ending on Dec 21st. :vuvuzela:

They are about the same price from what i have found. Kmaispeed has the Eibachs for $369 with no tax and free shipping. The Stillens are $372 after shipping from z1. From what i have read on these forums, the Stillens are better for a street setup, the Hotchkis are more for a track set up and Eibachs are a good inbetweener. That's why i was planning to do Eibach.

Get them directly from Stillen. Stillen sells them for $300 with free shipping.

Checked out the progress at the body shop on the repaint of the front bumper, hood and back bumper. Should be done this weekend! Be nice to have the paint back in shape. This car had 1 owner in Houston. I bought it with 600miles and 1 year old. The front bumper, the hood and back bumper needed work. Water spots, contamination etc. Im assuming it stayed outside alot. The world is tough on our cars!! Will be better soon.

Im documenting this so in the future if sold 1 can see the car was not wrecked. I painted it by choice.

Thanks for the thoughtful report. I disagree with your assessment of the Hotchkis a bit. The Hotchkis are as adjustable as the Stillen (3 way) and on the medium setting, as I have mine, they behave very well during normal driving. The other thing to point out is that the Stillen front bar is the same diameter as the stock and therefore utilizes the same bar-to-frame mounts/bushings. The Hotchkis comes with new mounts.
