She said really ?? I said oh ya....More growl and power...I should shut up about the power thing and focus on the " growl "..

She misses it, and that makes me happy....After we wear out the new tires, i may be adding the " growl" back...

love my Girl

An cat-back will give her the growl, about the K&N, a drop-in will do the job no problem.

Yes, I agree, 350 have a better exhaust note.

my stock G's intake/exhaust has a MUCH nicer tone so i too was pretty bummed when i got in the Z for the first time at the dealer. :( sounded great on initial cold start but then it was too quiet...like driving a G37 sedan or something. btw, i might be the only one on the boards with the fujimura muffler. very nice sound btw. :p

Doing pretty good now that I'm home. :)

Getting ready to eat some Chinese and watch an hour or so of tv.

What knob you looking to get? I'm really digging the PWJDM one that I picked up! have fun wrenching the old one off. :ugh2:

Hey Ken! :hello: Were you able to kill that headache?

Edit:NVM, just saw you rid yourself of the headache and are heading into brain freeze!

kenchan 02-27-2012 07:34 PM

hey mr. happy- hahaha, yah, i didnt know steaks cure headaches. :D i like my pepper steak med-rare. :yum:

im going to sport the pwjdm knob a few more times and decide if i want to get the biggy type-r knob (twm) or not. :) i should've gotten the titanium collar for my pwjdm... cause now i want to get it powder coated matte black. :icon17:

Nick911sc 02-27-2012 07:34 PM

Which PWJDM knob do you have? I used to want the cylindrical looking model, but now I saw the round one and it looks pretty awesome

kenchan 02-27-2012 07:35 PM

round one!

Nick911sc 02-27-2012 07:39 PM

And you aren't happy with it? Do you find it shifts better than stock?

it does shift better than stock and weighted. im more of a biggy knob guy so this is the only reason and i want a dark colored knob now. the knob was smaller than i thought vs the pict.

mine had lots of burrs when i bought it enough to cut some suede off my gloves so had to file off some of the decorative stripe in the middle. :ugh2:

Nick911sc 02-27-2012 08:05 PM

Would you say that it's smaller than the stock knob?

happytheman 02-27-2012 08:27 PM

Oh it's definitely smaller. PWJDM posted a pic for scale some time back. Do a search on the thread with the keyword "scale". Id do it now but a bit busy. Ken and I purchased the same one. I like it, but have to agree that I would not say no to the Big Type R knob as well! :yum:
