To Nissan's credit, the reason why I went with Nissan is I used to do 100% travel for my job. Out of the many, many cars I rented, they seemed to hold up the best, and we know how we like to beat the hell out of rentals ;)

I didn't go for a Toyota because the IS-F is just stupid looking and they can keep the paddle-shifters!

Holy slabadoo!

These cars are made up of thousands of parts that have taken mankind untold hours to research, design, and produce. Even with the highest quality control standards by the sheer number of vehicles, parts, and processes to put it all together things are eventually going to break. It is a miracle these things work as well they do. Take a course in mathematical probability and it will open a whole new way of viewing the world.

The 370Z is pure sex! It is hot, loud, and rough!

The steering wheel lock mechanism failure has left many on this forum standed. It's something that Nissan should have recalled.

No, this was actually a single accident due to a guy using SUV floor mats that were too large for the pedal cut outs. Pedal got stuck on the matt. 100% of that whole Toyota safety fiasco was all BS.

I fortunately have also not had any of the OP's problems.

Seriously OP, lighten up. Stuff happens, and something as trivial as getting your cheeseburger right is hardly worth the aggravation. Have them fix it and move on.

Are you intending to be condescending?

You missed the point.

well, tbh, I'd be pissed and frustrated too just like th OP. OP, sorry you've had to go thru this twice now, on the bright side of things, at least it sounds like your dealership is doing right by you which is always a good thing and unfortunately with nissan, seems to be a rare thing.

That said, I wouldn't necessarily throw the baby out with the bathwater and condemn the whole brand, wife and I have owned at least 8 different nissan vehicles and all of them have been reliable, very good cars/suvs. a few minor problems here and there but nothing major (knock on wood).

I love my very first Nissan and which is my first brand new car, after owning 2 civics and first driving my fathers which were good cars. But man I love my nissan

As an aside, isn't strange that the government was bailing out GM and Chrysler and at the same time the NTSB (the government) and the media (possibly corrupted by the said government) made a huge deal out of it?
Just saying...

Agreed, I love my Zeda!

I love this car to death

I think you are being a little harsh...if these cars (cars in general) weren't made to have an issue...there would be no such things as "warranties" and "service departments"

So ya, sucks you got stranded...but we can't always have the perfect scenario.

I've done over 300+ transactions on Ebay without issue or scams etc. So I love it, yet I know people that have had bad experiences 2 out of 3 times...someone gets the shaft sometimes...

It also sucks for Nissan when people ask me about my Z and I tell the truth.

I feel that I am just part of a calculation that allows people to be stranded in a parking lot. Anyone on this forum may not value my time, but I certainly do (as my employer and customers).

I guess I am just unrealistic in trying to hold people and companies to higher standards.
