The strut bar is pretty light IMO. You might be better off wrapping it. So far ad the crash beam I would mess with it. But then again it's no different than not running one like the TT guys.

I would be interested in seeing someone replicate the nismo lower undertray. That part is pretty expensive to purchase ($900) and I would much rather pay that much for something in CF.

This would be easy to copy in fiberglass or CF. But the first time you bump the bottom of the car you have a mess.

370zFORme!! 11-20-2011 01:01 AM

Ya i know it would cause some scraping but my point was I would much rather pay top dollar for an oem fitment part in CF. Although you're right, fiberglass would prob be the more practical application in this case.

haitech 11-20-2011 03:52 AM

why not an aluminum undertray?

Idk if anyone has mentioned this, but an a pillar gauge pod would be nice for the fi people so that we don't have to see any more ghetto gauge mounting solutions. Seems like after spending thousands on an fi setup then not having any way to nicely mount gauges just kinda sucks. As far as I kno, nobody makes anything along those lines.

A lot have used the stock triple pod gauges and swap them out, used a digital system with a screen (HKS/Blitz) or just done gauges in the cubby.
There has not been much interest in the A-pillar.

SPOHN 11-23-2011 02:22 PM

Hey Password JDM. I know you guys are busy and theres been a lot of request. Obviously the more important mods wanted by others is on the list I created. But being your guys do a lot of carbon fiber I was wondering if you guys can make some CF canards for us. I like the MCR ones. But a little costly and long wait to get. Just suggesting.

i have nav tho. unless i wanna go thru the major hassle of swapping all old gauges out, i think a way to add 2-3 gauges somewhere would be great. maybe a steering console mount. Not a single manufacturer has made anything like that yet....

Ron 11-25-2011 05:22 PM

u can use the blitz/camp2 with the stock nav screen

edub370 11-25-2011 10:11 PM

how hard is that to wire/hook up. prof install needed?

Okay so this may sound very stupid, but can a brake caliper temp gauge be made? Or is this not possible?
I would imagine it would be a huge safety feature since the heat problem on our cars is found in the calipers, where there is not much warning fade before they just give out (car&driver). If we could know the temp of the calipers as well as the failing temp on them, we could safely use our brakes with confidence accordingly.
I don't see how a sensor can't be wired to at least even the exterior cover of the caliper.
Maybe swap out the voltage or time pod in the triple pod cluster?

Yeah, the knob looks great. I would personally prefer it without the textured band on the knob. Otherwise I love it! Do we have an estimated price point??

RoshDawg 11-28-2011 04:41 PM

that knob looks amazing!

PasswordJDM 11-28-2011 06:47 PM

Thanks guys! The knurled band around the shift knob perfectly matches the climate control knobs finish =)

Ron 11-28-2011 07:09 PM

Yes! What's the weight on this one? The other pw:jdm knobs are lighter than stock :(

anthonyy 11-28-2011 07:20 PM

oops! Should have checked here before asking on "What did you do with you Z today" thread.

Loving the knob! Would love to know the weight as well...
I really like the the texture around the knob matching the climate control knobs.
I personally like the gear numbering on the top of knobs... were you guys planning on doing any engraving? :yum:

RoshDawg 11-28-2011 07:54 PM

I would love to see some cool engraving ideas on a circular knob like that. Not a deal breaker if its not possible, but would be a plus.
Also, will it be weighted??

Will this knob be weighted??? I know you mentioned a possible brass version, I would think that should have some weight to it, no?
