hey any of you guys that bought the knob have issues with the decorative stripe having tiny burrs? mine was pretty edgy and required me to file.

i hope come spring, i dont un-cover my car to find a rust ring in the middle of the knob. :icon17:

So, I installed mine before Christmas but today was the first time I actually drove it further than the garage-driveway-garage. Mine feels fine, but cold. I also noticed that the rattle/buzz I was getting at high RPMs (that I was attributing to my short shifter) is gone -- at least for now. Maybe it has something to do with me removing the stock knob and re-stalling the JDM one using rubber o-rings. The knob feels great once it is warmed up.

sounds good, mr.onzedge.

i think the weight and size is good too. :)

it was 12F this am... :icon17: i wonder how many people's hands froze to the knob. :icon17:

mr.onzedge- do you know if stainless is treated after it's cut to prevent corrosion?

Alchemy 01-03-2012 11:43 AM

Yeah, my knob has zero imperfections. Def a bit cold in the morn, onzedge.

I do not think that stainless steel needs to be treated, but I am a layman and only know enough about machining to make me dangerous. I would ask the PWJDM guys.

12F today? Shrinkage weather.

Basically the same temp here (-13°C without the windchill) Although just looking outside you would think its a beautiful spring day until you open the garage door and that winter wind smacks you square in the face back to reality.
