I was out and about tonight doing some driving and I must say, again, the knob feels amazing

I didn't get pics of the ring swap unfortunately. But it's pretty easy to do. The ring just sits a little higher on the cone shaped part of the shifter which gives it a little more flush look in my opinion.

Can't wait to give it a try. The weight difference has to give it a much different feel I would assume.

I had thought the same due to the quoted message. Although a page back I gave a slightly deeper description. In my head I was hoping he was refering to that

Took the Z out for a drive this morning to try out the shift knob. The weight of the knob makes a big difference. Shifts feel smoother now. I also like the shape of the knob much better over the stock one. I highly recommend this shift knob to anyone that is on the fence about it.

The weight def makes shifts fall into place much nicer

Im not sure why one would want the derlin, too light.

derlin is good as it doesnt get affected by heat or cold.

I understand that but its just too light. Maybe if it had some kind of metal core to add weight.
