RoshDawg 03-28-2012 04:16 PM

I emailed Black Top Areo about making a diffuser for the Z (they make diffusers for STi's G's and some other cars). Still havnt heard back though.
Giving up waiting for PWJDM. I'll let them be with their civics.
Maybe Stillen could make something?

ZMan8 03-28-2012 04:16 PM

I saw one of their pieces last weekend, the owner had to dremel his carbon fiber to make it work with his hood.

The problem with the diffusers is (according to some of the vendors) there are so many different exhaust setups being run on this car, it's hard to make one diffuser that will fit all cars.

true...especially when the stock setup uses the large horizontal side to side can vs most aftermarket that are smaller forward/aft dual cans.

and then some hang lower than others, some have the side chambers, etc.

SPOHN 03-28-2012 05:45 PM

That's the thing with my Greddy exhaust. The cans are low. But something could be worked out. My buddy has the Varis diffuser on his 350 and it hangs low enough to clear any exhaust from what I can see.

i tried emailing top secret.. this is our conversation. after i replied the second time, they never replied again.
Dear Top Secret,

or is there a new diffuser for the z34 that you guys plan on making?

thanks!

sounds like google translate replied to you :ugh2:

theboydiddy 03-29-2012 12:29 AM

whatever parts and accessories you guys make I'm sure it is going to be something very well done and well designed... although just PLEASE make it (((AFFORDABLE)))
I'm sure EVERYONE in here can relate and agree with this.
Most of us purchased a $30-40 thousand dollar car and still paying for it. To buy small *** piece of metal plastic and rubber for $500 + I'm sure is hurting people and their pocket. Other than that, keep doing the great job you guys have.

Why would a diffuser from a 350 fit the 370? They're completely different cars. :ugh2:

[QUOTE=Amuse370z;1445541]I've just been on your facebook page and I must say, I'm quite impressed with this company. It just seems as if you guys aim for nothing other than perfection. That as well as the amount of effort you guys put into looking at what the community want makes you guys a very good company and one that is most certainly worthy of doing business with.

Hell even the pictures posted are high quality, look at this:

Slightly off topic but what lip is on that Z.. Is that a PWJDM lip or something else?

SPOHN 04-14-2012 09:28 AM

It's the Sunline lip. Or a replica like Shine which is what I have.

Someone please close this thread. Great disappointment.

Easy there guys. The Honda market is our core market. We are slowly making our way into other markets, but it does take time. Along with our Password:JDM brand of products, we also have Tecnocraft.com brand that caters to the super high end market. We all wish there were more hours in the day to get everything done, but unfortunately, there isn't.

We have done our best to not give exact time frames on the record for this exact reason. We have had a few the370z members call and speak with us personally. We have given them rough ETA's on some products OFF THE RECORD.

We really would like to apologize if any of you are not happy about the time frame that it is taking to have parts ready to ship. The 370Z is only one of about 30 cars we build parts for. We are still testing & developing parts for the 370Z as of now.

When will these parts be available? I cannot give you a time frame. They will be ready, when they are ready. With that being said, feel free to keep following our thread for updates when we have them available. If you have lost interest or have nothing positive to contribute, feel free to ignore our thread.

Thank you all for all of your support up until now.

Here are a few things that we have been working on recently for the z

The Dimer 04-16-2012 03:38 PM

I think one of the biggest issues people are having is a lack of presence in the thread. It started off strong and there seemed to be a lot of promise (the shift knobs were a big hit) and then you guys just seemed to disappear. Meanwhile everyone who follows you guys on Facebook just sees Hondas, Hondas, and more Hondas, and we start to feel like yet another company has ditched our niche market for something more profitable.

I like what I see, it would just be nice to get some updates once and a while. Even if it's just to say you're still working on something and you'll get it to the community as soon as it's ready.

Understood. Like we mentioned in the last post, the Honda market is our core market, and has been since day one. For this reason, you will see a majority of our Facebook posts talking about Honda products.

As soon as we have any new product updates, we try and get them posted up here ASAP. Lately there has not been many 370Z specific updates. Thanks for hanging in there with us guys! As soon as we have something interesting to share, we will post it up :happydance:

Thanks for the updates. So you guys are working on a pre-preg carbon wing? If it uses original mounts that would be great, especially with a nomex or foam core so it's not hollow.

happytheman 04-16-2012 07:08 PM

Meh, I'm ultra patient when it comes to stuff like this. It'll happen when it happens. I'll quietly wait news of impending products. Thanks for the update PWJDM.

You guys posted pictures and video of a prototype exhaust last November and got everybody excited about, and claimed it would be ready for market in a matter of weeks.. what ever happened to that? Now test pipes? Its frustrating because you guys claim that all these parts will be made for our Z's, and then there is never any follow up on it.

370Z JT 04-18-2012 09:08 AM

Cool looking spoiler. Using oem sport wing mount holes would be aewsome.

Still waiting on answers about some of the composite parts in the works. Since you're saying they will be made from dry carbon, they will be made from carbon pre-preg and autoclave cured?
That will be sweet, and very stiff/strong if using nomex honeycomb or foam core.

Looking forward to see what becomes available.

christian370z 04-19-2012 02:38 PM

Oh well, so much for hoping.

RoshDawg 05-16-2012 07:21 PM

Just curious if there are plans for a diffuser or if I should stop waiting. No hard feelings either way.
