Cmike2780 11-03-2011 04:25 PM

Holy crap!

car+100mph+tree never ends well.

Red__Zed 11-03-2011 04:26 PM

Ouch

Mike Z 11-03-2011 04:28 PM

wow that gives me chills looking at it. really unfortunate.

Red__Zed 11-03-2011 04:29 PM

According to witnesses, the incident began after a man driving a blue 350Z Nissan got into a “discussion that went awry” with the driver of a silver Chevrolet Silverado

11Thumper 11-03-2011 04:31 PM

The writer referred to the car as a 350Z

I don't wish a poor outcome for the Z driver, but what an idiot. Innocent people could have been injured and/or killed by these two lackluster examples of society. I have no sympathy for this type of behavior. :shakes head:

Jordo! 11-03-2011 04:31 PM

Good god... that blue hunk of shredded metal was once a car?

kenchan 11-03-2011 04:36 PM

did a whale land on the thing? :icon14:

pedZ 11-03-2011 04:36 PM

The driver is lucky he was ejected from the car. He would have not been in the same condition as the passenger if he was in the car the whole time...

Kingbaby 11-03-2011 04:54 PM

holy ****!

LakeShow 11-03-2011 05:04 PM

Damn.....

I do, it's the only way to thin out the gene pool of douche bags that pull moronic stunts like this and endanger innocent people.

Both drivers should lose their licenses and do serious jail time.

That will never happen because it's "too mean". I guess I'm a "hater" (another wuss term).

The comments would be much different if these idiots had taken out a family in their mini van. Thank god no inncocent people were injured.

Damn I use to live in that area. I was stationed at Hurlburt.

Wow I never saw a car so mangled and shredded before, it's a miracle he is still alive! I guess if he was still in the car he would be mush.

Lemers 11-03-2011 05:33 PM

Sorry to read that.

To be fair, jaws of life probably did some damage afterwards. I guarantee they used it to free the passenger. Still crazy though. The fact that people lived through that is pretty remarkable.

When I posted that I was referring to the 370Z driver losing his life. I don't wish for that. If they both never are allowed to drive again, perfect. If he's mangled and has trouble living an ordinary life because he put other people in such great risk, I won't feel sorry for him.

We all make bad choices...just don't make a choice for someone else.

UNKNOWN_370 11-03-2011 06:04 PM

The nissan driver is probably a douche or whatever, maybe????? But I know I get pickups tailgating me harrassing me and cutting me off all the time. Who knows how that began??? Pick up truck drivers usually hate on imports often. I see it done to others constantly as well, even more aggressively than its been done to me. All I know is pick ups are 10x more aggressive than sports cars n I see them have more accidents overall.
The attitude toward sports cars from SUV/Pickup world is incourageable.

m4a1mustang 11-03-2011 06:07 PM

^ wtf :icon14:

I wonder if that driver is on the forum.

Maybe it's the mystery of you being "unknown" ;)

I agree with you though. I get head lights right on my *** all the time and I cruise 68mph on the freeway in the center lane minding my own business.

Its not easy for me to stay unknown in a 370z. Bein incognito is damn right hard... lol:icon18:

2011 Nismo#91 11-03-2011 07:03 PM

Some Road Rage there. Solution to getting the last word in, ram the guy into a tree.
Oh and why the hell do people always plant trees right next to the road. Yeah they look nice but they have no place there.

alcheng 11-03-2011 07:23 PM

I feel sorry for the 370z.

I also hope the driver will get well BUT BOTH drivers receive necessary penalty.

CAN8IAN 11-03-2011 07:23 PM

As an owner of a Z and Silverado, all I can say is RIP blue 370Z....surely you're going to a better place.

Thumper, I understood what you posted and respect your opinion.

Me, I stand by what I said. Funny, I've heard stronger sentiments expressed in the crappy parking thread.

Nobody would be feeling sorry for that dumb a55 if a child had been killed.

People want to hold hands and sing Kumbya, they should feel free to. Until society takes irresponsible acts like this one seriously, innocent people are at risk.

Pharmacist 11-03-2011 08:56 PM

Damn, unbelievable! I find it interesting though that people already decided guilt. What makes you so sure the z driver was a douche? He was running away from the pickup. who knows? Maybe the pick up driver was some inbred redneck flashing a gun and trying to shoot the z driver or something. Hey I'd speed like a bat out of hell too if someone in a truck was trying to shoot me. I'm just surprised the z driver didn't try to go into a few corners quickly to try and get away from that truck, instead of just speeding in a straight line.

tjlazer 11-03-2011 09:01 PM

I agree, if I was being harrassed by some *** in a truck that was trying to ram me I might be very inclined to punch it and get gone, especially in my Z. He was probably trying to get away and the red neck in the truck was going to show him in his truck. The place they apparently had the altercation is an island where there are clubs and bars, and its also a place where people cruise. It all started there and they took off and the Z was trying to get away. That is what I got from the article. Plus I know the area well and I use to cruise around there a lot.

So you think it's ok to put other people in danger to save yourself? You think the truck driver decided to go after him at total random and the Z driver did nothing to provoke this? Interesting...

Even if the Z driver had provoked something and was trying to get away from the truck afterwards, the truck driver is equally at fault for pursuing the Z. If he felt this offended, maybe he should have called the police?

Exactly... we really don't know what happened from the start but we know some things. At the end the truck rear ended the Z and the Z went loose then the truck hit something else. Guns could have been involved? I just know the truck is high up and the Z is low. Todate I never seen a sZ tailgating a pickup and flashing his high beams. Lol.
I'm sorry but as dumb as the Z driver might have been... I'm 99.9% sure the truck instigated. He probably didn't expect the Z to be able to stop so fast. Remember. 102ft makes the Z the fastest stopper on a production car under 100k and possibly over as well. Stopping on the street is the Z's forte. Try that in a pickup. Especially from 100mph. I know I can stop my Z extremely quick from over 100. No way in hell a truck would be able to slow down as fast as me. He was chasing him and couldn't stop. Regardless, he was on the chase and he wasn't a cop. F**k that truck driver. Plain and simple.

roplusbee 11-03-2011 09:19 PM

Whatever happened, the occupants of the Z are fortunate to still be breathing. People need to chill out these days. We lose more people to accidents than actual combat. It's sad.....

Hey, listen. I'm not saying anything or claiming anything. No one knows who provoked who. But the fact remains that the z driver was trying to ESCAPE the pick up driver. Comprende? As for risking other people's lives to save myself, I guess if you were that z driver you would stand by and wait for the red neck to put a couple of bullets in your skull just to avoid the risk of running over some cute little school kids :ugh2:

Also, if this tells us anything, it's that road rage is bad!!!

Calebluna 11-03-2011 10:14 PM

To all douche bags talking about this driver!

The Driver of this 370z is a close family friend of mine and he was being chased by a guy in a silverado and was ramming him trying to make him wreck he was going over 110 trying to lose him when the truck hit him from the side (P.I.T maneuver) and spun off the road and flipped into multiple trees and signs.
He is in ICU with a broken back and neck and multiple other injuries do to being launched out of the car at 100 something mph... The doctor says he has a 17% chance at living and if he does he will be completely paralyzed...

m4a1mustang 11-03-2011 10:16 PM

Damn, Cale. I hope he pulls through.

cptspeed 11-03-2011 10:17 PM

Damn rednecks. We will pray for your family.

Pharmacist 11-03-2011 10:24 PM

Damn. I wish him the best. And I hope the pickup driver rots in jail for the rest of his life.
