I'll keep him in my prayers. they should launch that truck driver off a sled at 100mph then stick him in jail.
|
it all started cause the girl he was with said she was single and then her not so single boyfriend saw them at a club it escaladed to this...
|
Ugh. That's bad but no one deserves to get hurt over that. :shakes head:
|
i hope he gets a long *** sentece in jail.
|
So bad to hear... so the passenger is her?

From what you've said I'm going to assume the driver of the Silverado has been arrested and charged with the crime. Correct? |
Ought to give that truck driver life in prison ..or at least twenty years! With no chance of parole..crazy nut..

Here's to hoping the cops get to the truth and those in the wrong get the proper punishment.

Dude, that's f*cked. Drunk driving is inexcusable, but it's not like we really know what happened. It sounds like you went through a lot of sh*t in the past, but this situtation has nothing to do with that. They weren't racing, the guy it seems was trying to get a away, totally different scenario. That's like saying rape is just playing hard to get, it's absurd. What happened here hasn't been excused by society in any way and it seems like the guy driving the Z has already payed the price...if not more. You can be as much of a hard-*** or cold blooded as you want, but I think many here would rather give our sympathy to his friends and family, rather than say "pull the plug on him." No one here is perfect, least of all myself, and I'm pretty sure neither are you. It's easy to preach in hindsight. |
Good god. What an awful story

First I pray that they all make it out of this horrible situation well.

None of us know the full story, I accept that. If this was truly a one-sided attack against the Z driver that's very unfortunate.
Do we all have the right to protect ourselves? Absolutely yes! However, there are ways to calm a dispute like this at the onset. If he really didn't know she had a boyfriend then he should have told her to not get in his car. Her boyfriend saw them at a club right? It's likely the confrontation started there. Why not break the chain of events at that moment. Isn't a club a public place to start with? When I grew up people didn't talk out their mouth and whimper with their tail between their legs when a physical confrontation started as a result. Getting your *** kicked is better than hitting a tree at 100mph. Best be prepared to back up your comments if it gets to that level. The way people deal with anger is really weird these days. Lot's of tough guys on the car forums (keyboard world class fighters ) and road rage with a 2,000lb+ car. Seriously? Ramming some dude in a 370Z just because your gf is in the car? Why would you give a fvck about her anymore at that point? Lots of ladies out there and it just means you get to have fun with a new one! I have said it all along that 'I don't wish a poor outcome for the Z driver'. That is how I still feel about it. However, he's the one that drove his car up to 100mph on public roads. So what's the plan in that case? Keep driving at 100mph to see who runs out of gas first? Sure, it's hard to think clearly in the moment so I understand that part of it. If this is really the true story and this guy's car kept getting rammed while driving, the truck driver MUST be in jail at this point. If his mental state was really like that why did he stop at the accident scene? Why would he not just drive away if he's in such a crazy mental state? It doesn't make sense that he switched to a rational state of mind so quickly. Looking back is always 20/20 and we're all judging this from a computer screen. What do we know? Absolutely nothing! People need to stop this "it's never my fault" stuff. Accept responsibility for your actions. If you're being chased by a guy in a truck and you speed to 100mph it means you don't care about anyone except yourself. If he hit a bus full of children would it be the same? Would you still think it was ok for him to drive like that? What if the passenger was your sister? What would I have done? Given the limited amount of info I would have ended this at the club. However, I don't know enough to determine if that was even an option. I hope the driver recovers and doesn't pay for this with his life. I hope he learns from the mistake and becomes a better person as a result. We all do stupid things and it doesn't stop when we hit 25, or 30, or 35 years of age. |

This was a serious crash and if it can't be discussed without making wild accusations or slamming a fellow member? It's simply getting locked |

I think it would be completely different if this was because of showing off and street racing, but the second your life becomes threatened its different. Was doing 100+ the best answer no but when the natural reaction of Fight or Flight kicks in there's no time or mental clearness to think his brain told him to get out of the situation now and quite frankly if i was in the same situation being in the Z my Brain would go immediately to flight Just get out of there and get out there now.
the results are an absolute tragedy i felt sick looking at the pictures and I Really hope the driver pulls through and makes it. my prayers are with his family and him. Finally you wanna talk about unnecessary speeding here you go. NJ State Police doing 91 MPH with the Ex Governor and his wife unrestrained in the car. Thats what I call unnecessary speeding, from some one who had to be SWORN to protect and serve the public not bend the rules cause you think im a Cop transporting the Gov i can do whatever i want. It makes me sick to think a cop was doing 25+ over the speed limit just to get someone home a little bit quicker New Jersey Police Update Governor Corzine Crash Investigation |
there was a video on some off duty cop getting pulled over in wherekese, florida...
|
Damn... what shame. The first anyone thinks is "Stupid kid in a sports car got drunk and crashed into a tree." But the more you learn, it sounds like this guy was just trying to avoid confrontation and got rammed by some angry, drunk redneck who has a history of domestic violence (mugshot link a few threads up). Really hope he pulls through and is well enough to see this guy get a long, long prison sentence. The passenger needs to make sure that justice gets served.
|
Wow. Makes me cringe.

Yeah the passenger was a 29 year old girl she made it through with just scratches but the driver (Sean Markham) who is also only 29 got ejected and is in ICU still but he is awake now but still can't move anything :(

If only y'all knew the damage done to sean all because the guy in the silverados girlfriend went to the club with him..
|
I'll post his health when I get updated from his family.

My anger over this situation precludes me from making adult comments. The dumb a$$ in the truck deserves a one way fishing trip off Okaloosa Island. You know, the kind where a Mackrel is implanted in his swim shorts and he is thrown overboard into shark infested waters. Preferably with Bull sharks which frequent the northern gulf coast.
My mature and adult comment is to hope and pray for his health and a full recovery and trust that our judicial system will handle the guy in the truck. I wish I could make more sane comments and offer more words of strength for the victim- I keep coming back to tar, feathers and a baseball bat for the pickup truck driver so I'll end on that. |
Just found out that Sean (Z driver) only met the girl passenger when he was leaving the club because she came up to him and asked for a ride home and her boyfriend (driver of the truck) saw her get in so he went into his rampage which caused the accident.....

Cale,
If there is anything we can do... let us know. I'm sure the Z community will come together to help a fallen brother. By the sounds of things, he was only trying to do a good deed and things got out of control. |
it's hard to make a fair judgement call without all the facts.. sounds like the guy in the truck has anger management issues.......
bad deal all the way around... but proves once again and i don't blame the driver of the 370. but in the wrong hands these cars can kill..... hope the z driver recovers fully............. |
Looking at that picture is painful.. If you walk away alive from that, you are truly lucky.
