Unfortunate. I'm sure there are dipshits around the world but this area of the panhandle is filled to the rim with southern fried ignorant hillbillies. Male and female. If it wasnt for the military bases it would be *** backwards. They take pride in fist fighting over the dumbest ****. It wouldnt matter if you tried to rationize with people here. They have the IQ of a picnic table. You either fight or shut up and leave the situation. I have had my share of fights. Now that im older they like to sue. It is really hard when you are surrounded by idiots who have no ability for cognitive thinking or rational thought. Its a beautiful place but the people here suck.

People here are simple minded and if you dont think like they do you dont belong. If you're not a southern fried redneck they are bitter and ugly towards you. They really wish they won the civil war. A town just north of fwb called crestview is 100x worse. That place is unbearable and straight out of a slasher movie. ( deliverance, hills have eyes, texas chainsaw )it's like that and thats not an exaggeration.

The road that they were on is congested and uneven and not that far from a police station. Usually theres cops all along that strip. I cant see doing 100mph. He had to have been scared and the girl probably indicated to him that her bf is crazy and has a gun or something. Sad. Guy tries to be nice and gets thrown into a jerry springer episode. Sorry to hear this. Most if not all Z owners that i have met seem like swell guys.

He is in ICU with a broken back and neck and multiple other injuries do to being launched out of the car at 100 something mph... The doctor says he has a 17% chance at living and if he does he will be completely paralyzed...

:( :( :( that is absolutely horrible! I'm really sorry and hopefully we can all pray for the him to get better.

As for the thread, please keep negative stuff or funny sarcastic jokes out of it and keep it on topic.

I don't know of any state that allows you to carry while drinking. I have a permit to carry but it's not valid in California where I live right now. In Washington I certainly cannot carry while drinking. It's a bad idea all around.

The more I hear about this the more I wish for the Z driver to pull through. Nobody should have to pay for their mistakes (especially during their youth) with their life. If he really didn't know this girl and was trying to help her out, this is rediculous.

Though I don't know if there's any evidence that Sean was drinking at all? He was driving so I would think he was not intoxicated.

Doesn't preclude one from keeping a weapon tucked away in his car though. Back when I lived in GA I had a dedicated "car gun" that always stayed in my center console, even when I was carrying on person (which meant that I often had two guns within reach). I only carry semi-autos, but I opted for a compact revolver for my car gun because I figured if I ever had to open fire while seated in my car, I didn't want hot shells ejecting within such a confined space. Plus with semi-autos, there's an increased risk of jamming when firing from odd angles.

In TN we can carry in bars, we just can't consume while carrying. My guess is that if he was able to drive a car through traffic at 100mph and not wreck (until someone rammed him) then he was probably well under the legal limit, if not totally sober.

Same carry law with bars here in VA. And I agree.

Actually the guy who started this post got alot of information wrong, or is just guessing. I know cause my sister was in the wreck, first the 370z driver was hanging out with my sister for a friends bday until he went to drop her off at her suv around 5am, so that she could get her kids and go to work that morning. I don't know what happen when the guy pulled up, thats for the police to determine but all I know is he went flying out of the parking lot at the end of whatever occured. There was no gun mention in any news or accident report and I don't believe any assault, 370z driver decided to flee at high speed, and my brother inlaw made a stupid choice to follow them. I'm not coming on here to start trouble or past blame, as far as im concern they both hold blame and are lucky they didn't kill someone. Now from what I was told yesterday (again not sure it's 100% fact, Im not his family), the 370z driver was taking out of a induced coma, and he was able to move his hands and feet. So hopefully he will be fine, and please everyone should keep praying for his recovery. Now as far as the actually accident, no the silverado did not pit him, run him off the road, etc. If you read the accident report you will see this also( link: Police release accident report in FWB crash (SLIDESHOW, REPORT) | report, fwb, police - Northwest Florida Daily News ) the 370z driver was flying up on traffic with the silverado right behind him, the driver hit the brakes hard causing the silverado to slam into the rear. Given its rwd it lost control with all the weight being transferred to the front during braking. This is case of two people how made bad choices, hopefully they learn from this. This actually could happen to anyone who has ever tailgated someone at high speeds (street racing, stupid driving, etc.) this was just a case of two people too close together and not enough distance to stop. I Hope the 370z driver is able to recover fully and maybe in the future this may stop someone else from making these mistakes.
Oh I was told about this post by my friend

edit: All of the above was edited to remove information that probably should be left for lawyers to discuss, I left the details that are public, the accident report states exactly what happened. This is not add fuel for theorys or anything, this is to give a better idea of the truth to what happen and hopefully prevent any future occurences. (thanks to Red_Zone probably should of thought of that) As for known charges all from the accident report my brother inlaw is facing Operating a motor vehicle in a wreckless or aggressive manner, exceeded posted speed limit, failure to maintain proper lane w/other contributing causes. The 370z driver faces Operating a motor vehicle in a wreckless or aggressive manner, exceeded posted speed limit.

Also I think if the 370z driver would have had his seatbelt on he would of been alot less injured. The reason I think this is if you look at the crash photo #1, you can clearly see the seat was still attached to the floor around the transmission tunnel (saving the photo so you can zoom in helps) along with front portion of the floor on the door side. Also the seatbelt is still attached to the a pillar I belive it's called. Now keep in mind according to the article the fire department used the jaws of life to cut portions of the car (assuming door, and maybe the roof structure some) to gain access to the ingition since the car was still running. They ending up cutting the electical supply. Not sure but doesn't 370z come with push button ingition, or does the base model have a standard ingition? Just a thought as to why they might have not been able to find it, if it was push button. Also I know it comes standard now with rollover airbags, was this standard in 09 base? I just think with at least the seatbelt and if it had the airbag in that model, he wouldn't have been nearly hurt. Maybe some broken ribs, or limbs but not a neck injury, I'm pretty sure that came from the ejection. Anyways just thought I would point this out, maybe get someone who doesn't wear it, to begin.

Speaking as someone somewhat familiar with these situations, posting details or renditions of events (true or not) is not especially wise from a legal standpoint, and spreading hearsay doesn't tend to help with the case.

I think the lawyers that will represent those involved (and those involved) would probably prefer not to have those posts out there.

Nurburgr1ng 11-07-2011 03:32 PM

If i saw my girl with someone i didnt know walking out together from a bar or party, i'd be pissed too especially if he speeds away going 100mph + with her in the car (even if its a z!). Still no excuse to give chase and rear end the other vehicle. Not sure what the laws are in other states but in oregon, if you rear end someone, it's entirely your fault regardless of reason.

Situation reminds me of Chris Rock Bigger and Blacker.
What about the parents? The parents.

The parents is really ****** up, man.

Their damn parents need to go to jail for some of this ******* ****, man.

'Cause everybody knows that crazy-*** kid that went to jail.
You go, ''Man, he ain't never had a chance.

''lf you'd known his mama, you'd know he gonna be there.''

l was at the club the other night, down at Life, chilling at the club.

l'm chilling with this girl. She was dancing.

lt was about 2a.m. l'm talking to her, and realized she had two kids at home.

l don't mind the two kids at home, that's all good.

But I'm like, ''What the **** are you doing in a club... at 2 in the ******* morning, on a Wednesday night?"

''What the **** are you doing here?

how is your sister doing? It was stupid of the z driver to race off so fast without his seatbelt, and it was really stupid of your brotherinlaw to chase them. really really stupid :shakes head:
