Actually contemplating selling my monster and getting into a Z, personally.
You can't do that! Who will keep this site interesting. No one is gonna believe you dislike the Z if you drive one, lol.

lol, going to order a 370Z as soon as they find out what's up with NAV not being available (in 16 states NOONE has a '12 370Z with NAV even though they found me over a dozen Sport models).

Stay tuned

I agree with Rone. For me cbe, y-pipe, and K&N drop in's are all i will need. I've learned from the pros that the more you mod the more trouble you can expect (my dealership has tried to get me to go FI before my girl Vanity is even shipped to the dealer for pick up). To me personally, after test driving the 370Z, it's more than enough power for me, my mods are just changing things i felt Nissan could have done better on.

If you are willing to pay for the repairs and damages the supercharger is going to cause.. then sure. Mod away!

Mod a car like that and you're married to it. Make sure it's what you want for the next...well, forever, if you are going to whine about only getting 50% of the cost back on the SC.

I went through the full spectrum of mods when I had my '99 Civic Si. Suspension, supercharger, oil cooler (nice Greddy unit), electronics, then Hondata, etc. It was great fun and I was young enough to enjoy it and wanted to spend the time tweaking it here and there. I also did all the work on it and installed all the mods myself.

Have I been tempted to install a supercharger on my S2000? Yes! Especially since my neighbor across the street supercharged his S2000. Have I looked at the Stillen supercharger for my 370z? Oh heck yeah...

I just don't think it's worth it in the end. Better to pony up the extra cash upfront when you buy a car. $10k gets you into a whole different class of vehicle.

I LOVE my TT Z! They can have it when they pry it from my cold dead hands!

I have no plans to get rid of it and have had zero issues to date. I still get a big stupid grin whenever I drive it. I am getting sad that she wil be in hibernation soon. Damn you winter.

With that said, you cannot enter into FI lightly. You have to be realistic. What the others have said is good advice. Hope for the best but plan for the worst.

And I agree that if you are going to do this on a base at the very least get an LSD. No point in spending all that money and not being able to put the power down. Hell, you can hardly put it down with an LSD.
