Like lets say the cop happened to be a 370z fanatic and knew everything about the mods that can be done. And points out that hfc was added. Is it just a simple fix it ticket or is it like severe ticket or wtf happens?! lol

HFC is perfectly legal to have, I passed visual inspection in NY with HFCs on, they have cats... thats all that is required.

OP, I wouldn't worry about it since you don't have a few years until smog but really you run them at your own risk..

I kind of thought the same way after my post, I do know that CA is very strict with emissions. It's just so hard for me to understand how anyone would be able to tell that they are aftermarket cats, unless you know what OEM 370z cats visually look like, they are basically the same.
