I found that nav equipped Z's were in low supply when I was shopping for mine. In fact the dealer told me there were only 4 in the nation that had my options (touring+sport+nav.....fully loaded). Most people don't seem to want the factory system, but I LOVE mine!

We must have similarly-equipped cars. When were you shopping for a car?

About the middle of May. I was finally able to grab one directly off the train, and have it delivered to my dealer, middle of June. I would have gone Nismo, but I really wanted my heated leather and nav.

Interesting. If the Nismo had leather and Nav, I would have purchased one as well. Probably would have traded out for a non-rear spoiler hatch with someone, but I absolutely love the rims and the nose.

I'm actually entertaining the idea of putting a Nismo front end on my car. tjlaser has one and the car looks fantastic. I just need to find a reliable and reasonable body shop who can do it. I think the parts alone are $2,500.

It would be nice if Nissan were to offer the Nismo nose as part of the Sport Package.

Blacking out your fangs would make the front look very Nismo front like, I think the only part of the Nismo package that's worth the money are the wheels... they are beautiful.

As much as I have said I never use the Nav, I know where I am going, and never would have paid for it had it not been included free. I have learned to appreciate the interaction with the rest of the car, one example: The phone with voice operation via blue tooth is amazing to me. The phone rings and the screen tells you who is calling.

The part I like best about the Nav is the music box, which is the primary usage the nav system gets.

Exactly, for me the integration of the factory nav make sit completely worth it.

Wow. As I recall, I saw a few of the '11's loaded out like you describe in my little town of 300K people. I guess for some reason Nissan decided to ship most of their US bound loaded out Z's to some backwater circle-jerk redneck military town.

No, it's more likely that Z's don't sell as well in Shreveport as they do in DFW/Houston/San Antonio.

I used to live in Covington (up until April this year), and the local dealer there rarely had more than one or two cars in stock. I recall seeing more G37 coupes than 370Z's around there.

I bought mine in Bryan/College Station and all they had were a couple 2010's. My car was bound for Houston before I snagged it. I also see about twice as many G37's as 370Z's.

To OP about shipping. The problem I ran into is that until the car is at the dealer...no one seems to be able to track the things. It gets off the boat, stored at port, loads onto a train and ships to a destination warehouse. Once there they have 5-7 days to unload it from the train, then it can sit in the warehouse for another 5-7 before it is picked up to be transported to the dealer. From the time they found out mine was on the train, it took over 3 weeks for it to get to me. I was amazed at how crappy tracking is on a $40,000+ car. I've gotten better tracking on a $2 ebay part.
