Default Stillen short throw shifter problems

I haven't seen anyone else post about installing this shifter so I may have been the only dope. I know that B&M is the most popular used. I had it installed and noticed a problem right away but I thought that the stock shift knob was stripped but instead I realized that the actual shifter itself was able to spin around.
I called Stillen and after a few phone calls they seemed to realize the problem was the rubber seal inside was loose and they said that the shift knob was over tightened and caused it to break loose. They agreed to fix it for free but I would have to ship it back to them. I had to pay to have it installed, and then uninstalled and then after it was "fixed" installed again. I don't have a lift or I would have tried to do it myself but you have to get under the car. Well after I got it back and installed again it seemed tighter but then after a day or two was able to turn like it had before.
The design for it to even be able to turn around inside of itself is horrible. The only purpose of 2 parts with the rubber in between is for vibration purposes. The stock shifter has a rubber seal also, but it unable to turn. I am going to have my repair shop weld(tack) it together so it cannot turn. I would rather have a shifter that does not move when I shift and have it vibrate.
I wasn't sure the correct section to post this in but I want everyone to avoid these shifters. I am not knocking Stillen as a whole because most of us love their cold air intakes so we know they do make good products, but they totally failed with this shifter. I should've stuck with something that others have used.
