It is as if some people think that these labor contracts were just dropped from above and in final form. Additionally, the main escalator of expenses for the US car manufactures is and has been health care, for actives and retirees, whereas both Japanese and German companies are relieved of large portions of similar obligations by their respective governments...so not really a level playing field from that perspective.
No.. but its the fact that American unions make the companies pay for the retired folk in the form of pensions and the like - so when a whole bunch of old dudes want their cash for sitting at home and farting up a storm - the factories start closing down - classic American negligence which turned around to shoot the companies in their own faces.

The union doesnt make the car companies do anything. Classic American negligence for the retired execs, who definitely still get their checks, to leave behind a mess that was created to return short term gains to satisfy all the shareholders. Now those shareholders are left with nothing, the union has to take a stake in lieu of the benefits you have a problem with, and the US is stuck with camaros made in canada of mexican components. But the only people you have a issue with are the ones who went to work everyday.

Yes they did .... at 30 bucks an hour + benefits to attach the screw to an object that the robotic arm had already put into place.

The only fault that I can render to any automotive CEO " what are you thinking agreeing to contract's like this in the first place".

I think im going to start a thread arguing about how the 370z is superior to the Crown Vic. (kidding of course).

come on, we have a V6, they have a V8, we have two seats, they have four, we have a track car, they have a drag car.

why even argue, both cars are hot, but different.

American muscle will never get along with imports, and vice versa.

if everybody bought the best car for the least money, it would be a very boring world, so I enjoy the fact we all have a different car that can help express our different personalities. Its about more than the statistics of the cars.

I posted earlier n wrote this long blog b4 I even went on that camaro sight to see
What was really good.
Truth is. It wasn't even worth the write up.
Camaro 5 has the biggest bunch of posers I done ever seen. Lol
It like wasnt even worth posting up there.
Thwy trying to compare performance numbers. Not knowing that 0-60 times
Are identical between there 6.2l V8 pony to the 3.7V6 370z
And the 370z gets lateral g.98 vs .91 camaro.
They say they rather buy a solstice that pulls times of 5.9/14.6 and .87g
Those numbers are impressive for large sedans. Not sports cars.
They said there new body style beats the Z. But the Z has a new look
While there's is a copy of a 41 year old car.
Then they touched values in 5 years.
This was the biggest joke. One so called drifter said its better to buy a Z 5 to 8
Years old for $5k. Lol u can't find a 1st year Z under 14 unless it has damage.
1 year off the lot. The most a Z depreciates is 3k. Tops.
Most GM cars depreciate 10 to 15k the 1st year.
I kno cuz I owned american GM b4 n never will.
Lol. Well, I can go on for days about facts and not opinions.
Which is the only thing being spoken on CAMARO5.
But anyway.
I can't wait to see supercharged 1,000hp Z's at the track when there
Overweight camaros with cheesebucket interiors and overly expensive
Suspensions to support the porky camaros fatness at high speeds. Not
To mention also thr roadcoarse segments. Lol see u in the dirt camaros... lol
in all fairness to the camaro and bunkrupt azz GM
the camaro looks good in a nice but trailerparky sort of way
It should have stayed lookin like the concept though.
With alcantara suede. Rich materials n 2 tone interiors.
But you know GM. Always cuttin corners cuz trailer trash
Wouldn't know quality if it shot them with a 12 gauge.
So they no they don't have to keep the quality of the concepts.
They can sell it with barbie doll plastic n locking differentials.
N the trailer parks are havin a parade. Plus chevy knows the only
Thing going on the dash is crushed beer cans used condoms n
Fast food boxes... lol sorry. That was low... but true for many pony owners.
Love to all my import tuners.

Wow.

I'm also a member a member at Camaro5, and an owner of a new Camaro, and hopefully soon a new 370, two completely different cars to be sure for two completey different types of driving.. rest assured, we are not all a bunch of redneck, tralerpark dwelling idiots.... lol.

As far as 1000hp Z's ? Don't forget the old adage... there is not substitue for displacement. Meaning, it is going to be easier/cheaper out of that LS3 V8 than the 3.7L in the Z. Not talking trash, just facts. I love both cars. Yes, the Camaro is a heavyweight, but it has the HP to help overcome that, and it can easily be moded, intake and exhaust were out before the car was, plus there are already plenty of superchargers available.

I don't doubt that a Z will take a Camaro on a road course, that is where the Z is at home, but then I would expect the Camaro to kick butt at the drag strip even though the test times have come up close, all it is going to take is an intake and exhaust change to give a much bigger HP change for my LS3 than I would get for my Z... just my .02

Word of advice: Let bygones be bygones. Don't be going on other forums and trashing their beloved car. You wouldn't want people pissing in your yard, so why would you piss on theirs? Is it to make yourself feel better? Or is it to "show" them?

It's threads like this that brings the quality of a forum down. Think about it before you start a flaming war with another forum. In war, everybody loses.

I am baffled at the responses from camaro5. They're just vehicles, my god.

Oh and the markups on the Camaros over here in GA are ridiculous.
