Are you looking to trade your car in and get something close to the price of the trade?
|
Thanks for all the info guys....I currently own my Z outright so I may try to sell privately before getting raped on a trade...I've narrowed it down to the EVO ...STi and possibly a 335. Gonna start going for test test drives...ill keep u guys posted

I think 335i with red leather seats is so cool!!!

Given the choice between those two I'd take the 335 as a DD any day. If you want more of a track oriented car the Evo for sure.
|
Correcting what I said below, It seems 335's built before Dec 2009 is for sure to have forged internals, anything after that no one knows. Also early cars have bolted diffs, which make a LSD swap much easier.
If you want to track the car i would get the evo over the sti and 335. STI's dont respond well to mods compare to the evo, you would also need to upgrade the block sooner than the evo x. The 335 is expensive once you break something. The 4b11t is good for at least 400 wtq, has good aftermarket support. just wanted to throw this out there, the BMW thumpers at least, can they make power? yep. Cheap? hell no. I was talking to a coworker yesterday (335 owner) who said that an exhaust/tune from Vishnu is $3000, and that barely gets you over 400whp, of course I didnt believe him, then I came across this. Jesus Christ.

it seems that bang/buck, best is either a strong V8 with gobs of power to start with or a turbo 4-banger (which will still cost a shit ton to make 400whp/tq).
