I would highly suggest checking out the Cadillac CTS-V- The stock engine produces 556 HP. Its beyond luxurious & it is a great riding car.

The 335 btw is a fantastic car. A4 was my first choice. Even above the 370..
I chose the 370 because it would take a ton of mods to get the A4 to the speed I need. The BMW has class.

Let me know what you chose

cts-v is def another one... i love the suby sti as welll, i considered it but it needed a block re build to make the power Id want and that is something I didnt want to do to a new car..

but the STI can make 400ish perfectly safe and they sound awesome...

cts-v is def just a bad *** car that no one can say two bad things about.. but its pricey

Fun four seaters.

G37s coupe or sedan
Mitsu evo
Subie sti
Bmw 1 or 335I
Mustang or camaro SHELBY/SS-ZL1
Hyundai genesis coupe 3.8 manual or genesis r-spec
mortgage your house and buy a GT-R black edition. :) the gtr is so sick. You hear the tturbos while it cruises at 5mph. How sick is that. :)

gotta give a little more detail. how much u wanna spend, 2 seats, or 4 seats. etc.

as you've seen you've gotten a large range of cars suggested to you, so i'll chime in just a little too..

dont do a4, i have multiple friends with audis. all with a4, much rathe my car, only way to do it is s4, or consider an a5.
3 series is nice, i personally think the 1 series is too small.
cts-v, am i the only one whos knees hit and cant fit properly in it?
mustang gt or shelby are decent.
porsche cayman.
g37.
vette.

obviously pending on price, might have to looked CPO on all of these. but those would be my suggestions.

The price of heavily modding the Z is a bit on the high side because the market is just now opening up. Not knocking the 135 but a lot of my buddies have tuned bmws and it is by no means cheap. GTM kind of has the market cornered when it comes to major aftermarket tuning and product development which doesn't help the issue and VVEL remains locked so the Z's true potential is unknown and may never be known. Nonetheless, looking back it is still cheaper to tune a z33 than an e46 m3.

On the CTS-V trust me he cared, a lot and he got laughed at by a lot of people. Its a paddle shift so driver input is at a minimum. Dare I say overrated.

Cts-v comes in manual.

135 is def much cheaper to mod but more expensive if it breaks. Like I said 1500 in you have over 400tq to the wheel

Nothing is going to replace a Z and yet give you the increased seating, etc. It's about feel. You can find plenty of cars that turn similar numbers on the track, but none will feel like the 370Z that have 4 seats. A base V6 mustang turns similar numbers at VIR and on the dragstrip, but it doesn't feel anything like a 370Z.

Women drive 1 series bmws, I would know, I live in Germany. Go with American muscle, for the price, nothing beats em, any model. And if you want a true performer with bang for the buck, get a Boss. Dont know too many cars that for less than 50k can beat an R8 around Laguna Seca.

One word of caution. The tires on the boss are basically a full-on track tire. Most other cars do not come this way from the factory so their OEM handling isn't as good. However, you do have to replace those tires VERY often, and at a rather high price.

True statement. You gotta admit though, for all you get with the car, $42k for a proven track performer, it cant be beat. They have them here at the AAFES car sales for MSRP, ZERO dealer mark up, and i'm still kicking myself in the arse for buying my GT when I did.

I say STI. Oh and Chuck, the 135 weighs almost 3400 pounds according to BMW website so ha the Z wins :stirthepot: LOL

Mike 09-15-2011 08:02 AM

Are you talking about the laguna secs boss? Because the pzeros n the regular boss aren't far off from anything on any regular performance car.
