Places like anchorage don't get that much more snowfall than ontario ... yet you still have one? When are you trading in on your snowmobile?

Mobil Synthetic oil will do the job. You can go with esther if you want but it's just a ripoff ... per dealerhip itself. Welcome to the forum.

Anchorage doesn't get as much snowfall as you do in Canada I was just about to ask you the same question. Looks to me like you are the one needing a snowmobile as DD boss.

Thanks for the help with answering my reasoning for owning this car here in Alaska... So from what I'm seeing, the oil doesn't sound like it's much of any concern? Perhaps I just need to focus on the reason I saw the oil become this hot. Would say that my average oil temp for varied driving runs between 18 and 220. Is this where I ask the infamous question about how many people have installed oil coolers?

Pat, temperatures in the 180 - 220 range are perfectly fine. If you are consistently around 250/260 (during cooler weather) then that would be cause for concern. Please note that oil cooler will void your warranty and many on the forum complain of whining noise after installing cooler. I would get one for track purpose otherwise for leisure driving you might not need one at all.

I agree with the above.....on a side note....someone is watching and believing TV a little too much if they think ALL of Alaska is snow most the year. Heck my Aunt has had winters where they couldn't ride the snow mobile but a few weeks and we were riding them in Kansas of all places. Southern Alaska is beautiful and has plenty enough time for a sports car (well to at least purchase one).
