what will you do with $100k?

I am just curious about what people will do with $100k.
Since many of you in the forum are into cars like me, so I want to get some feedbacks about the future plan.
Below are some options, (assuming no kids and house paid off)

1. Buy a $100k worth car (M5, GTR, 998s, used GT3, etc)
2. Buy next M3/Cayman R and get a DD.
3. Just buy the next Z and save money for the future incidents or invest
4. Buy Z/Evo/Sti and spend massive money on tuning for the weekend car and buy a DD
5. other opinions?

Hope you guys are enjoying labor day weekend!

Take my Z, build the motor, Twin Turbo it, add a few supporting mods and bank the rest.

Rone 09-05-2011 04:40 PM

Gt-r. With no children or a mortgage, I'll be able to afford maintenance, lol.

Skeeterbop 09-05-2011 05:26 PM

Buy a second Z and mod the heck out of it. I would stay all motor though.

mick 09-05-2011 07:02 PM

since i already got a z and a dd, i would put that 100k in the bank in case bad things happen.

PapoZalsa 09-05-2011 07:04 PM

GTR, house and invest the rest.

Red__Zed 09-05-2011 07:07 PM

realistically I'd save it.

If I was gonna spend it, I'd snag an M3, and an 03 S2k for track duty.

USMCASA 09-05-2011 07:08 PM

hookers and blow

Get a good financial consultant and save. In 10 years, you probably buy a new supra, nsx, gt-r, electric win everything, etc with ease and still have left over to buy a luxury DD.

b1adesofcha0s 09-05-2011 07:28 PM

I'd probably save it too.

For a car I'd get a GT-R, a used R8, or maybe a used Lambo. Haven't decided yet, but this will hopefully be my actual next car decision in a couple of years. Leaning towards GT-R since it can be used as a DD more than the other two.

mjg 09-05-2011 07:44 PM

pay off my car note, pay off a chunk of my mortgage, buy a used DD car for winter, hookers and blow

RandyD 09-05-2011 08:14 PM

second house near a beach

jaedub 09-05-2011 08:21 PM

Ill buy myself a Yamaha R6 and rest into my bank. nothing to my Z

And if the 100k were to be invested on a car, I'd probably get porsche 911, GTR, or audi r8

Armonster 09-05-2011 08:38 PM

I would pay off my student loans and have about 2 grand left over for celebration purposes.

wstar 09-05-2011 08:44 PM

Yeah with 100K suddenly appearing, paying off any existing car notes and/or putting most of it down paying off the rest of a house note would be priority 1. Assuming you don't have a car note to worry about and fully own your primary residence....

I'd probably pay AM Performance to give my 370Z some of their basic royal treatment (strip the car down and seam weld it and cage it, like they did for their racecars), and then go nuts on other racing upgrades for it (aero, lightweight body stuff, suspension). Maybe a GTM supercharger kit too while you're at it. And save a chunk to pay for a continuous supply of tires and track incidents :)

wstar 09-05-2011 08:48 PM

Link to the photos of the AMP process for prepping their cars' chassis.

kenchan 09-05-2011 09:05 PM

$100K... yah, i will probably save it until im due for my next dd and then spend maybe $40K and save the rest. :)

theDreamer 09-05-2011 09:11 PM

By a fun DD, throw a bit at the Z and buy a house.

zmyride 09-06-2011 02:20 PM

If i have only $100k i would save and invest.
If i have to buy a car with $100K, i would get an M3 or Cayman S.

If i have over $100k, i would get a Porsche 911.

shadoquad 09-06-2011 02:23 PM

pay off car, pay a huge chunk off the house and refinance. By eliminating/decreasing those bills by that much, I could possibly pay off the house soon and have no serious bills. Then saving for toys would be gravy.

memorylasts 09-06-2011 02:26 PM

Pay off all my debt!

b1adesofcha0s 09-06-2011 02:39 PM

Says in the first post to assume house is paid off :tiphat:

Well, I'm sorry, the mortgage steals over a third of my livelihood each month. It's kinda hard to pretend that bill's not there. :bowrofl:

Yeah but the question is more of a hypothetical situation, not your current one. So what would you get if your house was paid off?

STD's from countless prostitutes.

Beach property. Those things can pay for themselves if you play your cards right.

optiontrader 09-06-2011 05:17 PM

^^^ LOL.

If $100K dropped on my lap, no mortgage - we'd get the pool we're planning on now and finish landscaping the rest of the 1/2 acre lot. That would probably wipe most of it out.

However, if I had my way, it would go to a used ('09/'10) Audi R8 4.2; and I'd DD it.

Hahaha! That is AWESOME!

On a serious note, when I went to a dealer to buy gold coins, I learned about how gold can be weighed and measured to ensure that it is legit. Apparently no other metal has the exact density of gold, so if a coin is actually gold, it will have a precise weight related to its circumference and thickness.

I guess they do the same thing with nuggets, although that would seem to be a bit more difficult, due the irregular surface/sizing.

svmtbman 09-06-2011 06:27 PM

Pay off my Z and my wife's BMW and put the rest in the bank for a down payment on a new house.

atx370z 09-06-2011 06:30 PM

2012 Mercedes C63 AMG Coupe, mod the **** out of it... bank the rest.

11Thumper 09-06-2011 07:24 PM

Blow a few thousand on strippers, another $2k on whiskey and about $10k living in Europe for a few months. I would save the rest. :D

Baer383 09-06-2011 08:40 PM

I would buy a snickers bar.:roflpuke2:

nmjaxx9 09-06-2011 08:46 PM

I would give some (about 10 to 15k) of it to the hospital near my house they seem to need help. Then I would save most of it (50-60k) and invest some in stocks. and then from what I have left I would spend on the Z.

Rooskey 09-06-2011 10:36 PM

I would give my 10% to the man above and then put the rest towards my recent investments.
