You mean how the EVO put down a slower lap time than the Z, with or without the straights? :ugh2:

Means about as much as the z losing to the mustang, right?

Not really, because the Z is down 80 HP and tied the GT minus the straights... So that says they're both faster than the EVO.

When you compare them based on facts and not subjective categories like "fun to drive, because the VDC will let you get away with having zero talent" then it's clear that the GT was the fastest car, the Z was second, and the Evo was third. Throw out the straightaways to take away the power/weight advantage of the GT and you have the GT and Z tied, but the Evo is still trailing.

All I'm saying is, there's a reason mr. Scca say down with mr & mrs Nissan to tell them that their precious little boy would need to be held back a grade, and it wasnt because he was beating up the evos.

Tied in the turns with a solid rear axle?

You don't actually own either of these cars, do you?

You must have a sweet FORZA garage, bro.

Do not forget. Only the Boss 302 with Leguna Seca Package has no rear seat so it can be defined as a real sports car.

No need to get defensive, lol. I'm a big fan of the Evo. :icon17:

My wife drives the 370z. She thinks it is cute.

Guess since you have no retort to the 370z gettin moved down a class, you have to resort to personal insults.

Was this in Pro Racing, Club Racing or AutoX? Are you a SCCA member or are you just trying to make yourself sound like a SCCA authority or something?

Your wife sounds like a very smart lady. Sorry for the personal attack, it was below me, and I hope your feelings were not hurt too much.

Guess you retorted about the 370Z getting moved down a class since you know that, when you throw out the subjective fluff, it got beat handily by both the "stick axle" Mustang and the Z in this Car & Driver comparison. It's OK, it still a decent little econobox.

But hey, how about those cheese fries?

not the point.

i dont normally call people out, but u troll hard on this forum. talk bad on most stuff z related, and have yet to contribute positively to any conversations. why are u on here??

im glad your wife likes the car, and u have taken an initiative to try and get involved with the z community (maybe?). but coming on here and trying to talk crap about the 370 isn't gonna win u many friends, and will prolly get the ban hammer dropped on u sooner or later.

relax, we're actually a really chill communityhere. no need to try and stir the pot every thread u are in

I'm sorry for stating fact in a thread where everyone is trying to claim that car and driver was bribed to put the z in 4th place.

just take the troll level down a bit and you'll do alright here.

RWD cars are much different from AWD cars. For AWD, the computer basically drives the car and controls understeer and oversteer as needed. You just point the steering wheel where you wanna go and the car does the rest. RWD cars are more driver focused. The driver has to modulate throttle, brake, and steering wheel in order to direct the car in the corner and control under or oversteer.

Are you serious?

I dont give a ish what anyone has to say when comparing the mustang and the evo to the Z. The Z is the most exotic looking IMHO ad many others according the countless compliments I recieve, and it gets the job done for the price.

Whats the point in owning a sports car that doesnt look like a sports car? Mustangs are all over, and the evo looks just like any other GG I see everyday. The first thing that attracts me to a woman are her looks. That goes double for my cars.

edub370 07-24-2012 03:39 PM

i wonder how nissan would fair in the comparisons with an oil cooler and some brake ducts... we may never know

"If its brake feel, response, and reliability were similar to the Miata’s or Evo’s, the 370Z would be on the podium."

So there you go.

Cmike2780 07-24-2012 03:54 PM

How come they never compare it with the Nismo? Just say'n. I can't think of any comparison that uses Nismo instead of the Touring w/SP.

Nismo is much more expensive, and how about lightning lap?

We won't know unless they actually do it. They margins of performace between most of these cars are thin as it is. Why not use the one that has slightly more power and marketed for semi-track use.

It's about a $2,200 difference over a touring/sport, hardly "much more expensive/"

VIR is made for mustangs. V6 would have smoked the nismo if not for speed limit.

...and since they raised the price of the 2013 Z, I guess the touring/sport isn't allowed either.

Seriously, why are you even here? Just to incite an argument? You've been negative at every single post.
