Has anybody ever heard a low subtle whoop sound while the car is still cold. Some times it lasts for a minute, then it stops. Whenever I hear this sound

Has anybody ever heard a whoop sound
Has anybody ever heard a low subtle whoop sound while the car is still cold. Some times it lasts for a minute, then it stops. Whenever I hear this sound I am down on oil. The longer it lasts the further down on oil I am. I know what the sound means now so I catch it at the low hole in dip stick.
