Default Fairwell Fairlady...

Welp guys, I am sad to report that I traded in The Z today. I am saving up to backpack abroad next year, and needed a cheaper payment/loan. I Loved my z, But I am happy with my new purchase. It's a Saturn Sky Redline turbo, It was a dealer buyback so I got a great deal on it. It just has a minor repair issue involving the top folding mechanics, shouldn't be a big thing. It cut my payments in half, and I'm hoping that one day I will be able to do a LS2 or LS3 conversion on it.

@260 hp it is still a pretty quick little dude. I hate the tail lights, but nothing a little charcoal tint won't fix. Anyhow, Thanks for all the convo's, advice, and memories guys! I'll still pop in on the forum from time to time.

-Hunter

I do love the Sky. I test drove one back when I was trying to decide on that or a 350z. I ended up with the 350, but a part of me still wants to own a Sky. Enjoy!

Just kiddin!

I like those little cars too, but they were way overpriced before they went under.
There is a guy in wisconsin, named v8 archie that will hook you up ith a LSx motor. I have a fiero and seen his shop and the work he does with those. I have a friend in town that has a low 11 sec one like mine.

Sorry you were not able to sell it outright.

It was considered one of the top gay wheels in 2008, but not anymore.

Meh, everyone else can just drive their damn Honda Civics. Leave me alone.

Had the Solstice GXP, enjoyed the car and you're right, they are quick little cars. I hated the top though, major pain not to mention that you have virtually no trunk with the top down. Be careful when shutting the trunk, it's aluminum and if you slam down on the hump they can dent fairly easy. There is a little plastic piece you use to push on.

Enjoy...

Enjoy your ride! Perhaps when you return from your trip you will come back into the fold.

Sad to see another Z go, I looked at the redline sky back when they first came out. I liked it a lot but the reason I did not purchase at the time was because i went to 3 different dealerships and all 3 of them had problems with the top going back up after taking it down. Hopefully the work done on the top of the sky you got fixed all that.

Enjoy your ride, to me they remind me of like a mini vette

Jesse,

Sad to see you trade the Z, but that's a pretty good reason, and at least the Sky is still a fun and nimble sports car. Congrats on the new wheels.

Still a "sports car".
I would've gotten a 07 350z instead or 05 sti/evo.
Sad to see your Z go but life is about enjoying things, not spending all your money on cars.
I am on the same boat as you bro...
Gonna let her go this month.
Take care and it was nice to have you on board.
