But i have noticed a lot of z owners that have parted with their Z stayed in the nissan family and upgraded to a GTR. One of the locals is thinking about dropping his Z for a 2012

Honestly I just want a solid DD, which is why I was thinking about maybe a 335i or M3.

But I think what I'm going to do is just keep the 5.0 around for a while. I'll probably pull some of the mods off of it just to keep it more civil, because when it's stock it's actually a really plush and comfy daily car... and Sync is awesome.

BAD oil consumption, almost 4 qt per 1k, no leaks, nothing. We went through this for 6 months straight where i would take it to the dealer, they would do the oil change, put tamper proof tape, and bring it back, sure as hell about 1qt left everytime. Thye gave me an option to replace the engine, or lemon it. The car was performing really bad

holy moly..... yeah that's crazy man. I hope mine is not like that. I'm monitoring mine real good now. So far, no consumption.

Sorry to hear about your predicament. No wonder you now have a Stang. :)

Does Lemon apply for how long after you bought the car?

You guys are nuts! So much waste, no matter how you are sitting financially IMHO.

Waste is what keeps the global fiat currency ponzi scheme alive. Debt = money.

Really like the M3, but have you gone to the website and "built" one? Base price is very affordable--and then you tack on the bare-bones necessaries and BAM :roflpuke2:

Yeah, it adds up QUICK! I think I'd look to buy a used one if I was going the M3 route.

I'm sure you "waste" money in my opinion, too.

Look at it this way, though. Me spending my money on things I want to buy, makes me smile. How is that a waste?

Do you think I am going to be laying in bed dying one day saying "Oh how I wish my bank-account were stronger right now and I had bought less of the things I desired in life. Woe is me for having purchased and enjoyed things when I could be laying here dying knowing that I had a massive nest-egg safely tucked away in my bank."

NO kidding. I was pricing one, because it was cheaper than the Z06, but once I added on minor stuff, like the sport package (odd that M3 doesn't have it in base trim...) selective ride, and NAV (I'm not a NAV fan, but it's a BMW, it needs...). Long story short, "my" M3 came in at nearly $70K.

Jamaica 07-27-2011 01:54 PM

M3 is over rated. Had it for 6 months before the accident. All ou pay for it the BMW name and a status.. Oh your drivin a m3. It's quick but the z is more fun to drive and doesn't cost as much to upgrade compare to the m
