It is perfectly normal for the car to fast idle at 1500 rpm on a cold start, after 1 or 2 minutes this will quickly start dropping towards 1000 rpm

It is perfectly normal for the car to fast idle at 1500 rpm on a cold start, after 1 or 2 minutes this will quickly start dropping towards 1000 rpm and when the car is fully warmed up it idles at around 700 rpm unless you have the A/C on. You're probably just noticing it more now because of the HFC/exhaust swap.
