I've said this before, and I'll say it again... nothing compares to working hard for the things you can afford. In other words, YOU work hard, YOU get paid, YOU buy the car (or whatever else in life you buy). Not mommy. Not daddy. YOU.
I know man, it was like yesterday was the pretend to be rich day on here. The ironic thing is that these clowns have no idea that there's people on here who could blow them out of the water in that regard if they felt so inclined. I don't hate on someone who has/had a silver spoon in life, as I was one of those people myself, I simply hate on someone who has a silver spoon and doesn't accept it for what it is. You just happened to be the fastest sperm to join the Lucky Sperm Club.

The car had 0% on it, why am I going to just buy it outright like that? If it were high interest or any at all I likely would have just paid for it. Having a lot of property and having the actual cash in hand is also different. After dealing with that moron I would have gone half way around the world because good customer service to me is more important than price.

For the record.. I called ALL local Mitsu dealers in the area and none of them had the exact car with the options I wanted except for the one dealership. The economy was bad and no one was buying, and the car IS actually rare and since not many people even know what it is, many dealers don't stock them. They were also trying to push the Ralliart since it was it's first year out so most dealers were stocking them instead.

Make you feel better?

Excuse me... how do you know what I do? Did I say that I didn't work and just sat around like some little rich kid? I actually do work quite hard thank you. Jealousy will get you no where.

Sorry OP for the thread hijacking... keep us updated if you wind up making your decision.

just on the money note. Financing a car is not a bad idea if the rate is right . I borrowed the full 78000 for my FX50S at 0.9%. Did I have the money in the bank to buy it outright? YES!. But even a TFSA will net me 3.5%. So if i bought it outright I would actually loose interest money. Make sence to you poor people? Never spend your own money when you can spend someone elses and keep yours working for ya

Boys boys boys, to those who want to jump to conclusions, my point was simply that to someone who is, and I quote, "filthy f*cking rich," the interest earned over the loan period on a ~$40k car wouldn't even be noticeable. Shumby, since you threw yourself in the conversation, you must be maxed out dropping $78k on a car if you would be that financially impacted by lost interest. OP, I too am sorry for thread jacking, I just felt the need to call a tool out and things got a little out of hand.

To address your question, since you yourself were the one that just "had" to tell your Mitsu purchase story on the OP's thread, I quote this from you:
"I laughed and said Chris... I guarantee you that I will get 0% interest on this car... and he says " well well, how are you going to do that"? and then I said, BECAUSE MY FAMILY IS FILTHY FU*KING RICH YOU MORON" ... literally yelling it into the phone."

After a response like that, and putting in on a public forum for all the world to see? Sorry, but I don't NEED to know what you do, nor do I really care for that matter. Your response speaks volumes.

I find it amusing that anyone that calls you out for the tone and content by which you speak is assumed to be "jealous" of you? .... sigh....

I also find it laughable that folks who feel they are "rich" or "have more money than anyone" and that "everyone else is just jealous", needs to blurt it out in context on a public forum, and somehow have to embed their story in a so-called response to the OP, just to get their kicks. Again, hilarious.

It's all kindda sad and pathetic too.

well luckily I don't care what you think enough because i'm better than you.

Now... OP AGAIN, i'm sorry that others are hijacking the thread over and over.. I didn't intend for that to be the issue. I am curious if you did wind up making any deal or if they got closer to your number?

I was close to buying a 40th anniversary edition before I got mine. I just felt like I would be TO particular about it. I also am not really a grey person.. it's not a bad grey since it is dark, but I just liked the white better and didn't care if it was a special edition or not. I said that because I was curious if you had come across any of these during your searches for Z's?

I then called him back and said... excuse me, why don't you clear this up a little more. Basically he had called Mitsubishi and told them it was in my Father's name so I wouldn't be able to get the 0% interest due to it being what is called a straw purchase.

I said all that to say this.. I, being in Md, went all the way to Chicago to get my Evo... that I got OTD for under invoice.

I also told the salesmen that I wouldn't be forgetting him and i'd see him sometime lol.

So hell, go out of state if you have to.
