1)How much are you guys paying monthly for your 370z nismos and what was the down payment ?? Preferably looking for people in the toronto area since i know it will vary greatly.

2) Hows the mpg for the z ? How much does a full tank cost you guys and how many km do you get out of it ??

Im looking forward to join the Z community very soon guys. I need some torque in my life lol

I'll let some people from canada chime in on the price part since it could vary quite a bit between countries. My average mpg atm is 21.x with about 50/50 city/hwy driving (according to the onboard computer). It hasn't been reset for a few thousand miles so i would say that is fairly good snapshot. I've seen it as high as 32mpg on the highway and the worst I've had was about 17mpg playing in the mountains.

Can't comment on financing since the two countries prices and rates will vary greatly I imagine.

As for mileage, I average 24mpg mixed with spirited driving. If I behave and lay off the go pedal, I can easily get ~30mpg. For around town driving, lowest I got was ~19mpg in the summer with A/C always on full.

EDIT:

Forgot to add, I bought mine with 7 miles on the ODO, so my mileage sucked pretty bad (~17mpg mixed) for the first couple thousand miles. I didn't start getting mid 20mpg until after my first oil change I believe.

Mpg depends mostly on driving habits.
Join a credit union.
Look elsewhere if you want torque in your life. The z has precious little. More of a track car than a drag car, but it is geared very well.

The z is exactly what it is. An affordable sports car. Aimed for taking turns and handling.one shouldnt base performance solely off of taking it to the strip to run straight line. If you really want to see what the Z tradition is is all about. Then get out there on a real track

I can't speak for you there but here for me? I put 12k down on mine. And monthly payments are around 385

Your monthly payments are a factor you control the most. How well will you negotiate purchase price of the Nismo. I got mine for around $36,800 with no extend warranties etc. Your finance rate is dependent on you as well. Depends on your credit rating, loan terms you chose, finance rate and the down payment. I put $10k down and financed the remainder for 48 months at 4.8%. Total cost of your car,financing, etc over entire term is what you need to look at. It your spreading payments over anything over 48 months you are like spending way to much unless you get an incredible rate from a bank.

I always worry when I see people asking what are your monthly payments. tells me the person isn't prepared to negotiate proper deal with the car dealer. Sort of like a lamb going off to slaughter. It really pays to do research on how to properly negotiate your car purchase and how to get best financing available.

Use google to do some research. With terms like " how to negotiate new car purchase".

thanks for the info guys. As far as the torque thing, i didnt mean i wanted like a v8 mustang or anything but i just want more torque than what i have right now (the rx8). Just looking for a good performance car on the track and one that does decently well on the drag strip as well... all this while turning alot of heads on the road. It seems like the z has everything i want right now for a reasonable price.

As far as the financing goes. I will probably put down about 10k after i sell my rx8. I will try to figure it out when the time comes.

Credit Unions in my local area, Seattle, are offering under 3% on new cars or refinances. Join a credit union and shop around for rates. Unless the dealer is offering some special finance deal (avoid variable interest rates), which has been common in the past, don't use their resource.

I really don't have much to offer w/ regards to the financing, because this is definitely dependent on the individual. MPG? I get between 24-28 on the highway, but 16-19 with spirited driving around town. I also spend around 57 bucks or so to put 17.5 gallons in.

Let me ask you this: did you ask the guys on the Rx-8 board about buying a Z? Perhaps that's why they weren't so nice?

That's kinda stupid. I don't see the point. Attitudes like that certainly don't promote a sense of community and loyalty, which is something you will see that we pay the utmost care to strive for here. Yeah, sure..we'll jab each other with the best of 'em, but none of it is mean spirited. It's all in good fun.

Two options you might want to consider. Have you considered trading in your RX8? You'll reduce the sales tax on the Z. Or, do a sale of convenience if you feel you can get a higher sale price selling privately. As for mpg, whatever our friends get south of the border, just multiply it by 1.2 as we have imperial gallons up here in Canada. I just did a recent trip to Tennessee, 7500 kms return, and averaged about 9.3l/100km (~29mpg imperial) cruising at 120km/hr average.
