Okay so I got an invoice price of $32,286 for a 2011 370Z MT with sport package, carpeted mats, trunk mat, and splash guards. Should I go for it, or can I do better?
|
i think it's possible to do better, but it depends on a few other factors, including availability in kansas and the dealer's offer amount on your trade-in.
for example, i got the same package in '10, minus splash guards, for 30,500, but i took a hit on the trade-in value of the car i traded in. plus, at the time, every dealer around me had a good number of 370z's sitting on their lots. if the dealer is giving you a good trade value, that price could be worth it. i've never once gotten a trade value from a dealer that i really thought was fair, though. if you're patient, or you can temporarily float the funds, you could end up doing better by grabbing the z at a good price and selling the altima private party.. |
the car really went up in price. i paid 28600 for the same car last year

I'm guessing it was a 2010.

2009 purchased in mar 2010. I think you can get roughly the same deal on the left over 2010 now

Yeah I thought so.
I'm still debating on what color to get. *Brilliant Silver = +Looks clean longer, +scratches & dents are not as visible, *Monterey Blue or Pearl White = +Has metallic flake, +/- Not sure how clean it stays *Black = +The color I really want, -Gets dirty quickly, -scratches and dents are more visible Is there anything I'm missing? Btw I hear Nissan's paint quality is garbage. I've had a bad experience with red on my altima. Is it true about all the colors? |

For the first time this week I let it go two weeks without washing and was surprised to see how well it did. If only I could keep the love bugs and bird shyte at bay! |
yeah pollens took a beating to my blue paint too

I got a new quote for a 2011 blue/SP/manual invoice price is $33,878. This price includes shipping which is almost 1000 miles away but it will be shipped on a trailer. They'll give me 18,000 for my trade in(Altima with damage) and I get to keep the 1,500 insurance check.
This still sounds like to much money. $34,480 is the msrp w/ SP. So I'm getting about 1,200 off msrp. It seems like everyone else on this forum is getting super crazy deals compared to me. How do you do it? |
the problem is you are not buying a car off the dealer's lot, so there is less room to negotiate.
that price isn't horrible for a 2011 with shipping included imo. |
