:iagree:

I spent every night SOLID for SEVEN months scouring Carmax, Carfax, Autos, Autotrader and everything in between 'til I found mine.....but DAMN...it was all worth it! Do yourself a favor and make sure you see one in person (if you haven't already) before making your final purchasing decision!

Haha I can't wait to move! So did you buy your car from Briggs in Manhattan? If so who was your dealer, how much did you pay, and were they tough to negotiate with?

Sorry for the bombardment of questions lol, I might be buying from there.

Really? I see a few 370Zs here at my local dealership. Mine was ordered as well, and this one was headed to Lenexa or something.

Yes. I bought it from Briggs in Manhattan. I was actually living in Chicago at the time but knew I was going to be moving back to Kansas. I e-mailed several dealerships in northeast Kansas, and the guy who worked in the internet sales at Briggs was an acquaintance from college. The people at Briggs were really nice, they seemed honest, and they seemed straight forward. The internet guy I worked with was moving on and so a guy named CJ, at the dealership, finalized everything when I went to pick it up. He seems pretty cool.

I would also recommend approaching dealers through their internet sales. I've read that those departments typically have different incentives than the people on the sales floor.

I basically bought a yellow manual with every option except the nav system and paid about $1,000 under MSRP. It ended up around $41,000 after tax, title, and fees. I started looking in April of 09 and picked it up in mid-May. I probably didn't get as good a deal as most people but I was more concerned about getting the color and options than the lowest price. I was a little nervous that yellow cars were becoming harder to find by that point in the year. If I'm going to spend this much money, I have no problem spending a little more to get exactly what I want.

Yellow is the hottest color! Get a used one so that you can get yellow!

The 370Z is pure sex! It is hot, loud, and rough!

If those wheels were solid black that car would be just about puuuuurrrrfect!

Step 1: read all the "sticky" threads in the Pricing / Ordering forum

Step 2: find the invoice price on your own and don't pay anything over that

Step 3: assuming you have good credit, don't agree to an APR over what PenFed is offering (2.49% right now)

Didn't mean an insult, your math just reminded me of being fleeced by a carny when I was getting change :)

Did you ever see the show "Mind Control with Derren Brown"? It was on SciFi a few years ago - in some he played some change games and also turned in a losing horse bet ticket for money.

Considering Chicane yellow has been discontinued since 2010 models, it IS a rare color.

no problem man, i always find it is harder to know a persons true intentions through writing and the fact that i was writing that math out after 10 hours at work didnt help matters much lol. Never heard of that show, but i do like BullSh*t with penn and teller :)
