Really though. If luxury is what you want buy the G37, if it's a sports car the Z is well worth it.

They are making a 2012 version.

Anyway , not sure what you hope to gain by moving from a 2003 BMW 330ci to a 370. Although it's a few years old, it's still a stylish car. I'd drive the wheels off the bimmer and invest the savings.

what kind of driving are you planning on doing. i have driven 370z, i see you are a BMW owner right now, take a look at a newer 335i also. i much rather have a 335i for daily driving. but the Z is one fun car.

I just want something more fun. I would like to put a twin turbo kit, etc on the car. Ne'er owned a turbo ride before but wasn't going to waste the money on something I didn't think was worth turboing. Don't really plan on abusing the car but want a fun car to play with. I think the Z is it. Just wanted a few opinions.

I'm guessing he meant something running a little more boost. If you go with a Z, just go into it with your eyes wide open. It will be loud, it will burn through tires, its a rough ride, and the stock sound system sucks. Oh, and it's doors are no match for a Miata's. If you're cool with that, then go wild. Just make sure it's really what you want, otherwise you'll wind up joining the legions of Mustang deserters in six months

I'm one of the original members here, and was also one of the first to own this car. I've also owned 19 other cars to compare the Z to. With my credentials proven, you can trust me when I say this is a fantastic car with great quality, and a perfect mix of performance to luxury. I rarely ever see complaints on the car, and when I do, they are absurdly trivial.

That's good to know. I do like the car quite a bit. Is the Nismo worth the extra money over the sport touring package?

I'm not even touching that one, it's personal preference. What I can say, that is a fact, is that for the money you would spend on a nismo, you can get more HP VIA aftermarket parts.

Also, if you want a full breakdown of ALL the complaints about the car, see this thread:
370z Complaints so far?

Are you asking if they got the pricing right? I guess but that's not what should determine your decision making process when purchasing a new car.

The parts that comprise a car are what..... about a couple hundred bucks worth plus the labor that went into assembly? So it's probably not all that different than a Lambo when you think about it. So is it a 35k car? No. No car is. Is it worth every penny? Well I guess that depends on who you ask. I say absolutely.

The NISMO is a more sporty setup and the touring is a more luxury setup. It depends on what you want.

Major difference in cost of materials, R & D, etc, but won't even get into that. It's a car for people who enjoy driving. It will never have the best infotainment in the industry. It will never have the fastest 0-60 times. Its for someone who wants to have an absolute blast driving their car.
