traditional internet "fact" is that doing any intake or exhaust mods will theoretically increase your fuel efficiency as the engine doesnt have to work as hard to intake air, or exhaust the...exhaust. however, do to the fact that it also increases horsepower, you'll likely be on the gas more often to hear the new musical notes or enjoy the new found power.

also, the fact that these mods cost upwards of 1-2k, even if you continue to drive normally, your initial investment put towards the mod will take years, if ever to recover in gas savings.
